It’s an update, so…
So my mum called me down and talked to me about why I was being deceitful and my character and stuff. My dad went off on a rant on how “it shows character” and how disappointed he was because I was trying to not get caught. He finally gave me a chance to apologize, but it was followed up by “I’m more upset because you didn’t take responsibility” and that was literally the first time I was able to talk. Then my mom was like, “Why’d you do it?” And I said I was afraid of their reaction. She asked me why (after getting interrupted by my dad with just stupid shit that I didn’t pay attention to) and I responded with something that was totally, absolutely, taken the wrong way. I said “I think I just respect you more” to my mom. I meant to say that I feel safer and more secure with my respect for her. I don’t totally disrespect him, but hell, I have one good reason to. He then went on a spree of trying to make me feel bad by saying “Oh, what am I gonna do to you? Yell at you? Oooh noooo!” (By this point I wanted to physically harm him). And just other stuff like “You don’t know what it’s like to be afraid in your house” and it was really really annoying, since he was putting himself over me. Then they continued to call me stupid because I don’t understand why he’s home all the time etc. It was just a waste of my time. I didn’t get anything from it, apart from the fear that they might be sending me to a military school for being so “deceitful”.

Oh, yeah, they insulted my intelligence, too, by telling me “If Alex has been bringing her Switch to school, her mom sure as hell knows now” and when I said that your mom probably wouldn’t care (with the intent if saying she was a better parent) they followed it up with “Oh yeah, because she’s in honor roll and is passing all of her classes” (my dad said this, btw). That was under the belt. Totally under the fucking belt, man.
And sorry to add a third, but they’re selling my 3ds, Switch and all of my games. Wonderful.
Ok, I’m no Reddit expert or anything, but I saw something like that on a subreddit dedicated to insane parents, so don’t try and tell me that they aren’t abusive. They sound crazy. I want to buy your games, give them back to you, and tell your parents to give you the money. (I know that plan would never work but I wish it would.) Ugh, I don’t think any wall of text has pissed me off this much since that one time an Athiest made an entire post ranting about how stupid his family is for saying prayers before the meal on Thanksgiving… I may not know you very well, but I know enough to say that you deserve way better than those parents.
