Small-town traditions.
We live on an island nobody has heard of, connected only by two bridges. A tiny island. Our main attraction is an 1800s-or-so-old building that comes with a ghost story.
All the fifth-graders go on a trip to see where it happened.
AND we have a pool. An outdoor pool where, in the 'deep' end, there is a swordfish mosaic on the bottom.
Every small child is taught how to swim here - and they're also taught that, if they get good enough at diving, they can go down and pet The Swordfish.
Sister is now good enough to dive down and see the The Swordfish is not real.

Anne is the ghost of the ghost story.
Joesph someone-or-other takes his wife, Anne, to visit the mill and have an exciting trip to make bread. Yay. Anne is wearing a really wide and awkward hooped skirt.
They see the machines that spin and look deadly. They don't work now so I don't know what they do, or what to call them. They grind stuff. Anne sees it and steps forward to take a closer look, before turning to ask Joseph what it is.
Her large hoop skirt gets caught in the spikes of the machine and it continues spinning, dragging Anne along with it and smushing and crushing her to death. The end.
