So, every year during the month of June, I've made it a challenge to draw the same character every day in different art styles, all with traditional pencil and paper so everything can be easily destroyed.
…Please remind me to never, ever attempt to
- Use sharpie fineliners instead of microns, it bleeds and can't handle fine details
- Try to hide the sharpie ink bleeding with a white gel pen, it just absorbs the bleeding and changes color
- Color over white gel pen with colored pencil, it doesn't work and leaves an ugly white line
- Use coconut oil to blend out the colored pencil on top of the gel pen, it just makes the bleeding ink leak even more
- Create another drawing on the opposite side of the same paper, the coconut oil/ink mixture will soak through, staining the paper and completely ruining yet another drawing that you worked pretty hard on
This month can't end soon enough…
