He jumped at her suddenness. "Why not? Seriously, what's wrong Caroline?" He asked getting frustrated.

"Nothing go back to class" she said angrily
"Caroline, I can't do that." He said sternly, frowning tightly.
" why not you can kiss me like it's nothing like every God damn girl at this school !" She said raising her voice
"I haven't kissed any single girl besides you."
That was it, the truth to him. He was all talk but no show. He would never actually disrespect a woman like that. He didn't understand why he even kissed Caroline in the first place. It was just in the moment.
She rolled her eyes " then why me Brad why do you have to play me the most I'm the only one you continued to hang out with I'm the only one you kissed you just had to didn't you prove you were the baddest by getting the good girl to fall for you we'll mission accomplished " she said now crying
"It's- it's not like that." He wished to stand and hold her close, explaining his reasons. But he didn't even know what they were, so how could he explain what was going on in his twisted up mind.
" Just admit it " she said through gritted teeth.
"Admit a lie? That seems dumb." He replied with a clenched jaw. "I'm not lying to you Caroline, I'm telling you the truth."
" you don't just kiss someone like that Brad " she said "you just don't" she whispered
"Maybe I do like you back, I don't even know myself." He spat back, not liking all the uncertainty. He hated this feeling.
" I've needed you in these past few days Brad more than I've ever needed anyone in my entire life " she admitted honestly
"Well, why haven't you tried to talk to me? You seemed to be avoiding me." He replied relaxing his tone some, feeling better.
" Because Everytime I see you my heart beats out if my chest I can't breathe your breath intoxicated me your and Everytime I look at you I wanna run to you wrap my arms around you and never let go. . .but that can never happen" she said
"Never?" He asked feeling his heart sink to the bottom of the ocean, and still sinking. She couldn't mean that.

Brad felt empty. He wasn’t sure how to respond. So he didn’t. His voice wasn’t going to be useful anyways, it would just crack and then he’d feel stupid.
She crossed her arms over her chest with a sigh She felt so alone
Brad took in a deep breath and nodded. "Can I come back, talk to you then? My head is whirling, and I can't think straight." He mumbled looking to her.
"Just Go Brad" She said turning away
He knew there was no point trying to reason with her, so he got up and left. 'What is going on with her?'
Caroline broke down, falling on her knees and sobbing.
Brad had walked fully off, and was already back in the English classroom. He knew he needed to straighten things out with her, but she wasn't on the mood. And frankly, neither was he.
Caroline sighed her face red and her eyes bloodshot as more tears rolled down her cheeks she walked into the hallway only to run into Collins
Collins looked like a wreck, his normally bright green eyes looked dull, and his skin had a grey tint to it. “Hey- what’s wrong Caroline?”
She sighed " my dad's cheating on my mom and she doesn't even know"
