"I can stop if you really want" she whispered using the pad of her thumb to draw invisible circles on his side
Does anyone want to help me write a story
"I- I don't know…" He admitted as he bit into his lip quite hard. "I really don't know anymore…"
She looked at him sympathetically " I'm sorry baby" she said placing a gentle, loving kiss to his nose
Shaking his head lightly, he leaned over to bury his face into her shoulder. "It's fine… my brain is just foggy from everything going on. I'm kind of stressed."
"Why don't you lay down I'll get you some aspirin and some water" she said starting to get up from her spot on the couch
"You don't have to do that, babe. I'll be fine." Brad told her softly, reaching out to take her hand. "Just sit with me."
"Okay" she said sitting back down on the couch and slowly shifted so she was laying down with her head on his thigh
Smiling down at her, he gently started to play with her hair. "Thanks, darling…"
"Anything for you babe" she said with an almost whisper tone
"Anything?" He asked her gently, using his other hand to hold onto hers. "Or are you just saying that?"
"Anything Brad I'm so excited for the day I become Mrs Caroline Hoax" she said brushing her thumb over his knuckles
"Mm, as am I. When that day comes, it'll probably be one of the best days of my life. Next to you agreeing to go out with me." He hummed softly, pulling her hand up to kiss her knuckles.
She smiled, a Rosy tint flushing her cheeks by her words "I love you so much, Brad Hoax" she said
"I love you very much, Caroline Woods." Brad replied with a bright smile. Whatever had been bugging him earlier, kind of faded now that he was sitting here with Caroline. Not much could take the relaxation he was feeling at the current moment.
She reached up and gave him a gentle kiss on his lips
He smiled lightly, kissing her in return. "Mm, you hungry yet? Or do you just want to sit here?" He asked softly, still playing with her hair.
(Sorry it's not great. I'm running low on inspiration…)
"I just want to sit here" she said closing her eyes, her cheek pressed against his thigh
"Alright… but you need to eat at some point this morning." He said softly, tipping his head back against the couch.
"I will I promise" she said kissinng his thigh
Brad nodded softly, slowly starting to run his fingers through his hair. In his silence, his thoughts were mainly focused on their current situation. What was happening? Why did all of a sudden the two of them seem to be super unstable, with extra problems on top of their first set of problems? He was tired, and not in the mood for this. Not even in the slightest.
" Brad I'm scared" she said looking up at him "What if whatever is happening to us drives us apart" she said
Snapping out of his thoughts, he gave her an odd look. "How… I-" He seemed rather confused before shaking it off. "I doubt that will happen, Caroline. I'm not going anywhere, not for a long time."
"Promise?" She asked, her eyes already glossed over with tears
Taking her left hand, he ran his thumb over the ring on her finger. "Promise. Like I said earlier, this is proof I love you." He told her lightly, kissing the top of her hand.
She smiled gently as he kissed her hand " I love you too"
"I'm glad to hear that, darling." He hummed lightly, letting go of her hand with a light sigh. "I promise I'll do my best to protect you."
" Even from your father?" She mumbled under her breath
"Especially from my father, Caroline. He isn't going to physically hurt you, despite what you think. He isn't a violent man." Brad insisted, playing with her hair once again.
"I know but it's just the things he says makes me feel like I'm not good enough for you you deserve so much better than what I can give you that you deserve someone better" she said with a sigh
'That's how I feel all the time…' Sighing softly, Brad pushed his sudden thought way down, out of his mind. "Well, I'm not sure I can get him to stop that. I've been trying for years, asking him to stop ridiculing me. But I'm not sure he'll ever do that."
