I like the structure and conveyed emotion.

anyway there was a shooting in my love's county and one of the shooters was trans so he dressed more fem for the day because he was afraid someone would pick on him and i got really sad so i wrote a thing.
please, drop your weapons.(i'm on my knees.)
there is so much ugly.
men with guns and words and
women lying dead and
kids with mind and body
bruises and
my lover can’t bind cause he’s
afraid and
i'm sobbing in the shower because i've
got to hide him and me
until we’ve aged.
no more. no more.
i want to drown all of this in

flood it like
the melting snows in april
until we’re all soaked to the bone
and see each other clearly.
until we can touch and hold and laugh and
know
that we are not each other’s peril,
please. all of this anger –
it's breaking my heart.
