Oh god I hate that… I think once you kill off a character they stay dead.

I mean, I resurrect 1 character but even then I'm pretty sure I'm going to change it so he's not dead so much as fatally wounded and has that healed.

That escalated quickly Lol.

When you have a villain who you think is kinda fun but is still undeniably a horrible person but you just know he will be cinnamonrollified

When you try to create the best villain and then you just stare in horror and want to vomit.

When your villain is both dramatic and douchey af, but you know since he's physically attractive people will be tripping over themselves to excuse his horrible actions

I wonder if that will happen to mine.

I already know it's gonna happen to mine…..

Well mine's an off-screen rapist so we'll see.

I have one of those. except….not off screen .

Yeah well, I am no where near able to write that stuff. It would… not do good things to me. (I once had a friend who threw up while RPing as a villain.)

oh my…
I suppose it is not a good thing that I can turn off such responses to writing those scenes? :(

I don't know. It's good I guess. But you need empathy with the character. But of course… You sometimes don't want that. So maybe you are doing well.

the key word in all of that is MAYBE

Empathy with a rapist is a super creepy thing to have.

Be glad you can avoid the more macabre part of characters.

Mine is a faery who uses his magic to seduce young women into becoming his brides (I used plurals because he does this 3 times, 2 pre-story and one in-story) so he can have an heir (he thinks he's the heir of a lost fae court) and left one of them mute so she couldn't condemn him for it. He's also a dramatic little fucker and physically attractive so I just know people will try to excuse what he does.

That sounds about right when it comes to fae

Meanwhile my Fey are also evil, but people will love them nonetheless.

Mine's name is Oleander (because it's a flower associated with toxicity)

Anyone have any advice on how to pair a human with a fae without the age gap being nasty af?

I did that with a god. I made the girl older than the guy.

DUDE!!!!!! What if there was like a thirty year old woman and a teen god who was actually 300???!!!!!!!

I think I might have it so that Fae spend their first 100 years like developing and stuff, kind of like hutts, so even though Cedar is 120, he has the mentality of a 20 year old?

My 300+ has the mental maturity of a sixteen year old.
