I liked The Hunger Games, Catching Fire was decent enough, and Mockingjay.. what even happened in that book? I don't remember but I've read it at least three times trying to figure it out. I liked Divergent and Insurgent, but I stand by my claim that Allegiant was useless and could have been the epilogue of Insurgent. But even a few years ago I tried to reread them and I only liked one scene from each of them

Personally I believe that the reason so many people dislike Mockingjay is because it was their first introduction to an unflinchingly brutal book. Reading it in middle school isn't fun because you just want everyone to get a happy ending, but coming back to it as an older teen makes you appreciate it a lot more.

The Maze Runner was boring as f u c k, I liked The Scorch Trials more because Brenda added some much-needed life to the series. My friend spoiled The Death Cure for me so I didn't even bother finishing it,

I read Six of Crows without having read the Grisha trilogy, and I understood the world pretty easily. I would recommend reading Shadow and Bone before Crooked Kingdom though, since some of the characters from it appear in CK.
