Does anyone know of any good image generators that are free?
I just… I'm not an artist (like at all) but I see these beautiful AI pictures and want to try them out but the ones I find are usually not very good, require a signup/login, or you have to pay for them… Any suggestions?

… not really…
more like I'm just gonna keep writing these tiny little short stories. the plan is to go through the story, alternating between the hero and the villain's pov and maybe throwing in a side character every now and then. so yeah it was pt1 but I wouldn't call it a prologue

Don't get me wrong, Basil is a really good generator but Novel-gens is very “make your own creature/monster” and is very fantasy-based. Not a bad thing but a little too abstract for what I’m looking for. And Midjourney… well, I don't really know how to use it and I saw a message saying that there was high traffic and they don't do free trials… I don't want a free trial. I would really like something that I can use over and over and over again without worrying about if this is going to be the last thing I can make.

I want to say that I have tried Googling before and got some suggestions that were mediocre in quality or required the previously mentioned signup or payment thing… but I’ll try again. 🤷♀️ ya never know.

The unfortunate bit is that anything as free and open as youre looking for is going to be limited in scope, like novelgens, or kinda mediocre, like Basil. It's a case of getting what you pay for; there's (unfortunately) a reason the better ones are all behind paywalls :(
Yeah, I kinda figured that was the case… I had considered signing up for Bing because they were bragging about their new AI (Copilot) which has an image generator and some of the examples I’ve seen, on Pinterest, look really good… but I don't really want to make another email address, unless it's really worth it…
