She walked quietly beside him, slipping through the door and clicking it shut.

Amyntas sits down on his bed.
Ariella kneeled in front of him. "Are you alright?"

He nods, silent.
"Are you sure?" She put her hands on his knees.

He tenses and moves away, nodding.
She lifted her hands from his knees and instead put one hand in his and dropped the other by her side.

Amyntas sighs, staying tense.
"Would you like to come with me to dinner?" She asked. "At least have a glass of wine with me yes?"

He looks away, “fine…”
She grinned at that. She squeezed his hand before standing.

He stands up, then walks to the dining room.
She followed next to him, a pep in her step.

Amyntas on the other hand, walked with a heavy step. He sighs and sits down at the table, silent.
Hades and Persephone walk in and both smile. Persephone hugs Amyntas. “Oh hello, son…how are you feeling?”
Amyntas leans into his mother, “Fine…”
Ariella sat kn the other side of Amyntas, smiling as the mother embraced her son. "He showed me his garden today. It was beautiful. Said he would grow a few flowers for me."

Persephone and Hades gasp, staring at her.
Amyntas stays silent.
She placed her hand on top of his gently. "He showed me around the palace. It is truly lovely."

Persephone and Hades look at her in shock.
She looked at them confused. "What? Did I say something wrong?"

They shake their heads. Persephone blinks. “No dear…um…” She looks to Amyntas, “I’m just…surprised…”
She looked at Amyntas, offering a supportive smile.

Amyntas doesn’t look at her, silent.
She squeezed his hand softly. As a maid came around, she accepted a glass of wine. Just one. She knew her limits. But she enjoyed a glass now and then.

Amyntas takes a glass of wine and downs it in just a few minutes, silent.
Hades frowns, “Amyntas…son…”
Amyntas doesn’t look at him.
Ariella sipped at her glass, flowing as Amyntas downed his own.

Amyntas gets another glass, finishing it even quicker than the second.
"Amyntas," she said cautiously. "Sip the wine. It's meant to be tasted, not downed like a shot."

He doesn’t acknowledge her. Instead, he asks for a stronger alcohol, settling on liquor.
She looked at the maid behind his back and shook her head, signaling not to serve him anymore. This was not what she had meant when she had asked him for a drink. "If you can drink then you can eat. So eat something."
