A realistic Fiction OxO for Lynn! (Stalkers welcome, it might devolve into another romance thing, but whatever!)

Serenity grins. "Okay." She jogs over, gets the sandwhich, pays and returns. "Here you go."

Ali smiles, biting into the sandwich and closing her eyes. "God… this is so good!" She eagerly takes another bite

"I know, right?" Serenity says, laughing.

Ali finishes quickly, licking her fingers. "mmmhmm!" she hums, grinning

Serenity laughs. "Now, since I've eaten just enough to hold off hunger until dinner, why don't we go to a park or something?"

Ali smiles, taking Serenity's hand. "I know just the place."

"Take me away, then!" Serenity smiles, giving Ali's hand a squeeze.

Ali smiles at the feel of her hand, pulling her eagerly out of the mall, toward her favorite park. Orange and palm trees swayed in the wind as they raced down the streets

Serenity smiles. "This place is beautiful, Ali." She has a thought. I would love to paint us here.

Ali smiles, slowing to admire the flora and wildlife. “It really is.” She puts her hand out to feel a large, pink flower, grinning.

Serenity realises she's still carrying her camera and grins, taking it out and snapping a pic of Ali with the flower, then of Ali framed against the park. She grins and shows the pictures to her.

Ali blushes. “You better not use those in your class!” She says, flustered

"Why not?" Serenity laughs.

Ali blushes harder. "Because that's embarrassing!"

"They're good photos though!" Serenity grins.

Ali hides her face in her hands. "fine… I guess."

"Yay!" Serenity grins, wrapping Ali in a hug.

Ali laughs, letting herself be pulled in by Serenity.

The surrounding people snort derisively, but Serenity just continues holding Ali, smiling. "Hey, you want to go find a nice, shady area of the park?"

Ali smiles. “I know just the place.” She starts walking down a pathway to a grove of orange trees

Serenity giggles. "Lead the way."

Ali sets them down under the shade of the trees, the citrus smell faintly in the air. The spot is almost hidden from the rest of the park. “Here we are!” She says excitedly. “I do my homework here a lot”

Serenity gasps. "I love it!" She inhales deeply, the smell of cinnamon and vanilla (Ali's hair) and citrus floating around. Serenity grins.

“I know, right?” Ali laughs, lying under the trees. A soft sparkle of light filtered through the leaves onto their faces.

Serenity watches Ali, then snaps another photo of her, grinning. She takes a picture of the tree leaves against the sky, light filtering through them, and takes another picture of the park itself.

Ali blushes, hiding her face in her hands. “Oh god, Serenity…”

Serenity glances back, her face illuminated, glowing. She smiles. "Yes?"

Ali laughs. “Stop taking pictures of me! I don’t want to end up in the school magazine or something!”

"If you end up on there, I'll make sure I'm in the next issue!" Serenity giggles, going over to Ali and laying down next to her.

Ali smiles letting her blush fade away as she gazes up into the blue sky. “So, what do you think of California so far?”
