A realistic Fiction OxO for Lynn! (Stalkers welcome, it might devolve into another romance thing, but whatever!)

Serenity grabs Ali. "I- I'm sorry. You could have told me you were close to death, though."

Ali fumbles with the doorknob. “I’m not close to death?? What the fuck are you talking about??!!”

"Your aura. Either you are close to death, or you are messing around with shit you shouldn't be." Serenity says grimly, an unseen force holding the door shut. "Explain. Now."

Ali pants, trying at the door. “What… are you?”

"Human." Serenity says. She watches Ali closely.

(Hello?)

Ali keeps her back pressed against the door, staring with fear at Serenity. She puts a hand behind her back, drawing some sort of intricate shape on her skin. Her other hand goes to Serenity’s face. “Then what is going on?”

Serenity sighs. "I'd like to know that myself, dear." she says, kneeling in front of Ali.

Ali continues holding Serenity’s face, finishing the design on her back. “I’m sorry, but you won’t.” An odd force enters the room, knocking Serenity out, and taking a good bit of Ali’s energy away. “Shit… didn’t think that would work.” She gazes at Serenity, moving to hoist her back onto the couch. She looks… a lot more filling than those leaves. I’m sure she wouldn’t notice if… she shakes her head. No. not people. No more people

One moment, Serenity is watching Ali. The next, she's unconscious. She snorts. Of course. She then looks down at her prone body, realizing just what kind of magic Ali was using. With a rush, she returns to her nody and an unearthly glow starts to surround her. "Just what do you think you are doing, Aleecia?"

Ali drops the girl, jumping back as she screams. “Fuck!!”

Serenity gets up, her hair starting to float slightly as the air grows charged with magic. "I would really suggest explaining what the hell is going on."

Ali doesn’t speak, just retreats back as far as possible, pantomime heavily as her eyes widen with fear at the glow. She shakes her head slightly, holding tightly onto the fibers of the carpet

With a huff, the glow around Serenity disperses, although her hair continues to float. "There is no real need to fear me, unless you intend to cause me harm."

Ali shakes her head again, trying to move back further. “Please… please don’t hurt me”

Serenity walks over to Ali and kneels in front of her. "I'm not. I swear on the sun and stars. I just want to know what is going on with you."

Ali shakes her head again, pulling her knees to her chest. “No. No I… I don’t want it to be like this. I don’t want it to end. I want to go back to what we were.” she sniffs. “I don’t want you to be afraid of me”

"I'm not afraid, love. I'm merely confused. And curious. And a little annoyed. But not afraid." Serenity murmurs. "And it's not over. I couldn't end it over even this. It would honestly kill me."

Serenity wipes a tear, staring at the ground. “O-okay…” she sighs, closing her eyes. “You just have to understand, I’m not really… I’m not exactly… human.”

Serenity just nods. "Hun, it was obvious when I met you. As soon as I looked you in your eyes that first day, I saw it. I just needed - need - you to say it and explain what exactly that means."

Ali closed her eyes and sighed, twiddling her fingers. “So I always seemed like a freak to you?” She says softly, before figuring out what she way going to say next
