“Need me to take over?” She asked, watching as he smacked his wrist against his leg. It looked like it was getting worse with all the physical work and she didn’t want him to not be able to use his hand at all.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zev shook his head as the wrist clicked and whirred. "No. It should hold up for at least a bit longer." He replied, continuing to work after a few moments.

@gracehustle

Thesa rolled her eyes, cutting in again as he worked with the sealant again, “Zev, I don’t want you to loose function in your hand because you won’t let me help. I’ll be sure to triple check that I got every space. I don’t want to die by taking off my space suit in there.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zev shook his head. "No. I am fine. The wrist will hold up a little longer until I'm done." He said as he continued working to seal it shut.

@gracehustle

“If it malfunctions again, I’m taking over, wether you like it or not,” She said, watching as he got back to work for any sign that his wrist was acting up. Plus, if his wrist was permanently broken, who knew how angry Alexi would be.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zev shrugged slightly. "If you say so." He replied, continuing to work to seal the cockpit window. The sealant was working very well for something thirty years old, thankfully.

@gracehustle

With a small bit of satisfaction that he didn’t try to argue with her, she went silent once again, looking around at how much she had left and thinking of how much time it would take for it to dry and for them to get the pressure back to normal. If everything went right, she would be back in her ship tonight. If not…she would spend another night on the now very cold and dark Daedalus.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zev continued working, frowning slightly. His left wrist was no longer responsible correctly, taking a second longer than the other hand to follow his commands. Which was not a good sign, at all.

@gracehustle

Her eyes flicked to his wrist as he frowned and she smiled slightly, “I’ll be taking over now Zev.” She floated over the window to him and held out her hands to take the sealant, “Go get your wrist figured out, I’ll be sure to not leave any spaces.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

He handed the sealant to her after a moments hesitation. "Fine. But i will come back later and check." He said, floating back into the Daedalus to take care of his wrist. He knew Thesa would do a good job, but still. She was only human, and humans weren't as good at seeing the tiny details.

@gracehustle

“Sounds good.” With the sealant in hand, she let out a small breath and got to work. She kept her eyes sharp and was careful to get every single spot, though the first few moments of her using it weren’t nearly as good as Zev’s.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zev went into the ship, and took off his suit, opening up his wrist and examining it. He closed his eyes for a moment, comparing what it currently looked like with what it had looked like thirty years ago. Damn. It was starting to wear through. There was a shiny spot in the metal where the joint was rubbing weirdly, where the metal was scraping against itself.

@gracehustle

She was careful and precise with her movements once she figured out how to use the sealant, going over the next side. Without someone to talk to, it got boring quickly, but she was used to it and just used that boredom to focus on her work even more.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zev pressed his lips together, and started working to tighten the joint back up and keep it from rubbing. It just needed to hold out a bit longer. That's all it needed.

@gracehustle

“One side left,” She said, talking to herself as she finished up the third side and floated over to deal with the last one. There seemed to be plenty of sealant to cover the side and she hoped she didn’t run out, getting to work.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zev finished fixing his wrist, and put his suit back on, heading back out. He floated over to her, examining what she had done with a critical eye.

@gracehustle

“See any mistakes?” She asked, not taking her eyes off of her work, “I know there’s one spot that’s a little less precise, but I’m sure I got all the spaces.” Thesa was finished with just over a third of the last side and was still hard at work.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zev waited a moment, then shook his head. "No. You are doing a rather good job. However, if you would like me to take over again, I can." He said, watching her work.

@gracehustle

She felt a hint of pride at his words and shook her head, “I’ll continue, you do deserve a break after cutting out the whole window and sealing two of the sides.” Thesa focused back on her work and glanced over at him only once more.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He raised an eyebrow. "That…isnt logical. I do not need a break. I don't get tired like humans do." He replied, watching her, unmoving.

@gracehustle

“I know, I know, you remind me every time. Your wrist does need a break though,” She argued lightly, continuing to work while talking.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He shrugged. "It needs a repair. Not a break." He replied calmly. "And it needs a replacement of the joint, which even if I had the right parts for, i couldn't fix myself. It also needs a new fiber optic."

@gracehustle

Thesa shook her head, “Still, a break will be good for the joint, since I don’t have the parts to fix it or a new fiber optic.” She went silent, focusing even more on sealing the window and not him.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He thought about that. "You are probably right." He conceded, and simply stood still, watching her with that slightly eerie, flat stare of an android.

@gracehustle

“You don’t have to sit and watch me, you’re free to go do whatever,” She said, making eye contact with him once. His eyes were strikingly blue and she hesitated for a second to look away before shaking her head and getting to work.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He shrugged slightly. "I do not really have anything else to do." He replied. "And i want to make sure you aren't leaving any holes behind."

@gracehustle

She rolled her eyes and a hint of a smile crossed her face again, “Wow, don’t trust my work do ya?” Thesa had finished more than half of the last side and she was working steadily towards the final little bit.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He shrugged again. "Regardless, i want to check your work and make sure there are no mistakes." He replied, watching her and examining the seam.

@gracehustle

“Ok, but I’m checking as I go as well.” With Zev watching the seam for any mistake, she took a little bit more time but was still close to the end. After a few more minutes she finished and glanced over at him to see if there were any places that needed to be fixed.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He pointed to a spot. "There." The hole was extremely tiny, but could have caused a problem once pressure was restored inside the ship.
