“Any reply?” She asked, scratching an itch on her forehead and accidentally wiping a smear of dust and stuff from the wires on her face. Today she had quite a lot more energy than the last two days, not as sore as before from laying on her back and looking up. It was still uncomfortable after a while though, her body not used to reaching up constantly with her arms.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He nodded. "He wants to meet up with us after Horath." He replied. Why not before, he wasn't sure. "He also wants to know how much money you want as a reward for finding me." Zev added, and started working again.

@gracehustle

Thesa couldn’t help but laugh, both in shock and slight excitedness, “I didn’t plan on getting paid for finding you, but just enough to repair my ship should be good. It needs a good replacing of parts.” Paying for parts was tough, there were so many she needed, but she would only ask for the major ones to be replaced. She had no clue that there was a reward for finding him. In her mind she silently debated between the idea she had said and maybe actually meeting Alexi in person.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zev nodded. "I shall tell him that in the next message i send." He said and kept working. He wasn't surprised that Alexi wanted to give her a reward; while his owner and creator hadn't exactly advertised that Zev was created and was missing, his owner still put a lot of value in him, considering all the work that went into creating him. He was the model Z, after all.

@gracehustle

“Oh, and could you add that I want to actually see him in person as another part of the reward?” She asked, adding it on quickly. Meeting one of her idols would be amazing, especially the one that had sparked her interest in machines. Sadly she never had the money or opportunity to do anything with her interest, but if she ever had the time, she would’ve loved to get into robotics and building things like that.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zev hesitated, then nodded. "I can. I do not know what he will say, but I can." He said. Alexi was in his sixties now, which was strange to the Android. All his memories of Alexi were of the inventor in his prime. In his thirties, fit and healthy. Now Alexi was greying and old, with wrinkles. And Zev himself hadn't aged a day.

She nodded in return, sitting up and looking over at the android before laying back down and getting back to work. Her mind focused back on the task at hand and she replaced dials and wires and just hoped that her ship would work and they could get back to a planet. When she had crashed, she was on her way to Horath, she she would go there first. Both because it was the closest, and because she needed to refuel, restock, and repair her ship in more detail than what they were doing here.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zev went over the information he had been learning in his head. It had been so long since he had had anything new to do. Which was probably why it was so easy for him to find flaws in almost every argument, as he had gone over nearlg every one in existence just for something to do for those thirty years alone.

@gracehustle

“How much do you have left over there?” She asked, looking around and seeing that she had just over half a panel to repair. Already she was sick of this repetitive work, but she continued on so they could get it done and move onto the rest. She didn’t know how she would be able to help with repairing the outside of the ship since she didn’t have a working space suit on board. That would mostly have to be up to Zev if he would help, and if there was an undamaged space suit aboard his ship, maybe she could help as well.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Just a bit." He replied. "Maybe a quarter." He kept working at the same steady pace, focused on the wires over his head. "And you?" For the outside of the ship, he knew he could do the work alone, but he would need to take more frequent breaks. Even an Android couldn't be in the vacuum of space for too long, since their insides were not cold proof, and if they got frozen, wouldn't work anymore.

@gracehustle

Thesa checked again to make sure before replying, “Just over half.” She sighed and took a few minute break, dropping her arms and letting her body rest before starting back up again, “Question, does your ship happen to have any undamaged and functional space suits? Mine broke and I haven’t been able to get a new one, but I want to be able to help on the outside.” A space suit was one of the only things she refused to fix, since she’d rather just buy a new one than take a chance at death by repairing one herself and hoping that it was sealed fully.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"I believe so, yes. I can test it out first to make sure." Zev replied. "But there are three in total that the crew left behind. I have no need of them unless i am going to be in space for an extended period of time." He said, still working. He assumed she knew that about androids. They weren't designed to work in the vacuum of space, at least, not for long.

@gracehustle

“If they all work, I’ll gladly take them,” She offered, scowling at one particular wire as she tried to undo it and it wouldn’t budge. Thesa shook her head after a few tries and ignored it for a moment to fix the other ones, eventually coming back to it and finally getting it loose. By now she had a decent pile of bad wires and dials stacked outside of the panel, replacing them with new ones like clockwork.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"I dont know which ones work, I have to test them out first." Zev replied, and finished up his console, then stood. "I'll go do that now. You can join me when you are done." He left the ship, heading into the Daedalus and to the room where the space suits were kept.

@gracehustle

Thesa nodded and continued working, “Alright, I’ll be over as soon as I finish.” She listened to his footsteps until he left and then set back to work, humming softly now that she was alone. The minutes ticked by and she worked steadily, taking tiny breaks every so often so her arms wouldn’t give out.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zev tried on the first suit, and ran a diagnostic check. He took it off, setting it aside. That one leaked. He tried the second. That one worked, though it was a little faulty. The third one worked well. Granted, they were all thirty years old, so they were clunkier and bulkier than newer ones.

@gracehustle

She finished after some tiring work, replacing the last missing wire and scooting out from under the panel. For a moment she just sat there and sighed, satisfied with her work. Thesa smiled as she stood and made her way onto Zev’s ship, calling out so she could find him, “Zev? I finished, where are you at?”

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Over here!" He called. "Straight down the hallway, on your left!" He explained, taking off the third suit and setting it aside. "One of the suits works well, one works sometimes, and the other doesn't." He told her, picking up the suit that sometimes worked and putting it on.

@gracehustle

Thesa followed his directions and smiled when she got to him, looking at the suits. They definitely weren’t the sleek and new space suits she was used to, but they would work. “So, which one works?” She asked, pointing to the two of them and glancing over at him, wanting to make sure she picked the right one that actually worked.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He handed her the working one. "This one." He replied. "However, if it starts to act strangely, head back inside as soon as possible. I would rather not haul your dead body back inside." He said, looking over at her.

@gracehustle

She chuckled as she grabbed the suit and started getting it on, “Yeah, I’d rather not die in space and make you bring my dead and idiotic self back into one of the ships.” The suit was a lot heavier and less delicate than she was used to, but she shrugged in on anyway, fastening everything and double checking they were all secure. Her helmet was the only thing she didn’t put on right away, waiting for him to be ready, “What are we going to use to fix it? Welding? I don’t know the best thing to use.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zev frowned slightly. "Welding." He agreed with a nod. "Most would use laser tools, but I doubt you have the correct ones, and the ones aboard the Daedalus no longer work." He said. "It just means you should get the repairs double checked when we arrived on planet." He pulled out some welding tools, and handed one to her.

@gracehustle

Thesa shrugged, “Do you blame me? It’s not every day that I crash into another ship and need to fix the hull. I try to carry as little extra stuff as possible. Laser tools are included in that.” She took the tools he handed to her and made sure her suit was secure before wandering back over to the places their two ships were joined. Carefully, she shut the door between her main ship and the cockpit so everything wouldn’t be sucked out before making her way back to just inside his ship.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zev went to where the ships were joined. He had forced them together earlier and sealed it, so now he broke the seal after making sure that Thesa was ready. He floated out of the ship, over to the damaged sections of hers, and began to work to fix the wiring and plating.

@gracehustle

She watched carefully as he broke the seal, waiting for any sign that her suit was leaking. There didn’t seem to be anything wrong so she floated over to the broken edge of her ship and started to join him. Bending plating and welding it together was really tough so she knew her work would be a lot slower. The only problem that came to mind was where they would find a front window since hers was completely destroyed, she needed one to pilot the ship, and preferably one that was big enough for her to see other ships as she landed on a planet.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zev kept working, then frowned. "For the window, what do you want to do?" He asked, using the comm system in the suits. "We could pull the one from the Daedalus, but that would be too big, we would have to cut it down to size." He glanced at her, then returned his attention to the plating in front of him.

@gracehustle

“I don’t really know,” She replied, hard at work so she could even say she contributed at all to repairing the ship, “That may be the best option. Unless the Daedalus has any other windows that are a little smaller but could work.” The metal playing was thick, which was good for protecting from space, but terrible when trying to fix it.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Mm. The Daedalus has plenty of windows, but none of them are the right size. All of the smaller ones are too small to use, unless you want to weld them together and have a huge seam going down the center, which I would not recommend." Zev replied, voice even despite how hard he was working.

(Ugh I keep trying to have Zev say things like "I think" and "about" and "roughly" and then changing them, because he's an android, he would use exacts, not that sort of stuff XD)

@gracehustle

(XD Yeah, and I keep forgetting he wouldn’t really use words like I’m or things like that, he would say I am and it just messes with me every time I read it)
She thought for a moment and shrugged, “If you’re alright with using the big window and cutting it down to size, that would probably be the best.” While Zev’s voice wasn’t affected by the work, hers was. She was clearly working hard, her puffs of breath very clear and interrupting her words.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(xD same tho. It's a very proper, exact way of speaking that I'm not used to writing or reading XD)

Zev nodded. "Yes, that would work fine. We can do that later, or tomorrow. I will need your help with it, as i cannot lift or cut it on my own." He continued working, then let go of the ship to float over to a different section, seeming completely unconcerned that he could have drifted off into the vacuum of space and been lost forever.
