Tohru laughed.
"It's fine. A hell of a lot of people have a caffeine addiction. It's mildly annoying at worst."

Tohru laughed.
"It's fine. A hell of a lot of people have a caffeine addiction. It's mildly annoying at worst."
He smiled a little, nodding in agreement. "True." He replied, serving himself a mug of coffee and then turning back to Tohru. "So what's the plan for today?"
group
"I'm working a short shift this afternoon so they can show me the ropes for real, but that's about it," Tohru replied, "How about you?"
"I was thinking we could keep working on the painting." He replied, gesturing vaguely to the walls. "And getting everything set up."
group
"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea," Tohru agreed, "I'll go change after breakfast, and we can get started."
He nodded a little, and got to work on his eggs. "Sounds good." He replied.
group
Tohru smiled and started eating his breakfast.
"Thanks again," he said.
"You're welcome." He replied, smiling at Tohru.

After finishing his meal, Tohru went to change into some old jeans and a t-shirt that he usually threw on when he was doing art projects.
He tied his hair back away from his face, then went to pour himself a second cup of coffee.
Once Tohru came back, Davin went and changed as well, coming back out in a pair of old, rather ragged cloth pants and a t shirt, his hair bound back in a bun on top of his head.
group
"Alright, let's get to it," Tohru said, going to where some of the unopened cans of paint were.
He looked over them.
"Which room did you want to do next?"
He shrugged a little. "I don't really have a preference. Whichever one you would prefer, I suppose."
group
"Mm, bedroom maybe? Just so we can get everything in there out of the way before bed tonight, " Tohru suggested, grabbing for a paintbrush.
He scanned over the buckets, trying to find the color they had picked.
"Alright." He replied, grabbing the tape. "I'm going to start taping the wall in there, then."
group
"Yeah, let's do that," Tohru agreed, going to help.
He carefully pressed tape against the baseboard to protect it, humming to himself as he focused on the task at hand.
He got to work on taping the baseboard and windows, listening to Tohru as he hummed.
group
Once he had pressed the last of the tape where he wanted it, Tohru dragged over the plastic to cover the floor and the painting tools.
He popped open the top of the paint can.
He looked over at the sound of the can opening. "We ready to paint?" He asked.
group
Tohru gave a quick "mhm" and handed over one of the paintbrushes.
With the other hand, he was stirring the paint a bit to make sure it was mixed in completely.
"I really like this color," he mused, "We did a good job."
He nodded a little in agreement. "Yeah, we did." He said, flicking the paintbrush a little bit and shuffling closer on his knees.
group
Tohru started at the baseboards and made gentle, arcing strokes up the wall.
"Wanna start here together and work our way in opposite directions?" he suggested.
"Mm…let's do opposite directions." He got to work on the opposite side of the wall, brush stroking over the plaster.
group
Tohru kept painting in gentle strokes. He had to stand on his toes a little to reach the ceiling, but he managed.
He continued working on painting the wall, brush moving gently against the plaster.

(Sorry I haven't really been replying. I haven't replied to many rps at all lately. Haven't really been in the right headspace.)
When he had finished the first wall, Tohru turned to check on Davin's progress. He smiled a bit to himself, pleased he had someone to share a home with. Maybe they hadn't met in the best way, but it wasn't worth dwelling over- even if he did think about that a lot still.
(you're fine, don't worry about it!)
Davin was still working, humming quietly to himself as he worked. He wasn't quite done, but was getting close to it.
group
(Thanks, I'll try to be a bit more active now that the holidays are over and all that)
"Looks good," Tohru called.
He gazed at the other, taking in the shape of his horns, his tail, everything that made him uniquely Kaythani. Even though he had known when they first met- even though he could see through the guise of hoods and sufficiently loose clothing- it was definitely different seeing those features in person, rather than seeing pictures, being told what this last Kaythani would look like. The way his superiors had described Davin was almost animalistic, when that was so far from being the case. The more he mulled over it, the more he realized Davin was right. The resistance didn't give a damn about him or his wellbeing. He was a figurehead, perhaps. And if he died, he died a martyr.
(alright! No pressure, though!)
Davin smiled, looking up when he felt Tohru's eyes on him. He had somehow managed to get a fleck of paint on his nose, but he looked happy. "Thanks, Tohru." He said, tail flicking faintly where it lay curled near his feet. He did his best to keep it out of the way, not wanting Tohru to trip on it or step on it. "What are you thinking about?" He asked.
group
Tohru gave a slight pause, then cleared his throat.
"Oh- I was just… I don't know, thinking about where things are going to go from here. Just for my life in general. I'm not bounty hunting any more, probably. Might draw more attention than I want, you know?"
He sighed.
What the hell…? What the hell do they think they can do that for? He doesn't deserve this…
Davin nodded a little. "Yeah. I'm sorry that my presence here is…changing how you normally do things." He looked down at his hands for a moment, then back up at Tohru.
