Another random quest, (GAY) (O/O) CLOSED

"Well, I guess we could just walk past her and ignore everything short of her actually grabbing us." Oci tilted his head slightly, thinking. "Yeah, let's try that approach." He continued on towards the guard, staring straight into the depths of the forest, where the path disappeared into gloom.

"Excuse me, boys. Don't you know where you're going?" The crone takes a few steps and stopped in front of them. "Those are the Everlasting Woods. Certain death." Oci sighed and looks at Marco.
"Tell her." He muttered, a smile playing on his lips.

"Ah!" The crone's eyes bugged out, and her mouth hung open. "You– you're getting a relic from the Woods to kill the king?" Her eyes narrowed, and she pulled a slender sword from hinder her cloak. "I'm afraid I can't allow that."
"Oh, look what you did!" Oci sighed heavily and pulled a long knife from his belt.

"Huh." Oci shook his head and twirled his finger in the air. A swirl of darkness rose from the shade cast by the trees and shot towards the crone. The shadows wrapped around her eyes, condensing into a pure black band.
"I can't see!" She cried, taking a step towards them, the sword slashing wildly in front of her.
"Alright, let's go. Skipping the fights we don't have to fight." Oci dodged around the crone and ran towards the woods.

"Okay, I hate this place already." Oci shivered, brushing a leaf from his hair. He jumped when Marco shifted, then started at him in confusion. "Wait, do you want me to…" He mimed jumping onto a horse.

"Okay, then." Oci struggled his way into the horse– sue him, he was short– and carefully took a hold of the mane. "So, basically just follow the paved path. If it ends before it gets to something that would look like what we're looking for… Well, I guess we'll figure that out when we get there."

Oci had never ridden a horse before– his family had never been into that sort of thing, and when they kicked him out… Well, there wasn't a lot of time for horseback riding when you were on the streets. So, he was having an interesting time, to say the least.

"Okay, we've been going for quite a while. I don't think we'll get there today, and you need your rest." Oci said, brushing another leaf from his hair. "I think, if we stop here for the night, we'll get there around mid-morning? Maybe?" He shrugged. "We could go through the night, but… You'd probably get tired, yes?"

"Alright, then. I have no idea what you just said, but I'm thinking you're agreeing with me. Why don't we stop over there," Oci pointed towards a little dip in the ground by the path, "and sleep? At least of a few hours."

Oci slid off the horse and inspected the place he'd indicated. It was quite shadowy and getting even darker as the little light offered by the sun faded away. "Okay, I think if we hide in here, then I could cover us with shadows. Then, at least, any monsters out here can't see us."

"Do you want any food, or do you just want to sleep?" Oci asked, twirling his hands as he talked. Whisps of shadows gathered around his hands, obscuring them from view. He flicked his fingers towards Marco, and the shadows flew towards him, weaving together to form a sort of blanket. From the outside, Marco was completely invisible.

"Okay, then." Oci pulled the backpack off of his back and pulled an apple from it. "Yeah, I'm good. Will you be that tired tomorrow, since it's only half a day?" He asked, looking at the place he knew Marco was– even though he couldn't see him, which was slightly weird– and taking a bite of the apple.

"So, you'll probably be fine, then." Oci nodded and dropped onto the grass next to Marco, suddenly appearing as he passed through the layer of shadows. "Why don't you get some sleep? I'll keep watch, make sure nothing appears in the night to eat us."

"Okay." Oci nodded, already planning on letting Marco sleep for as long as possible. After all, he was the one doing all the work at the moment. Oci wasn't sure if the shadows hiding them would stay if he went to sleep, and he wasn't about to take that chance. He stretched out and made himself comfortable, listening to the sounds of the forest as he slowly ate his apple.

Oci looked down at Marco and smiled softly. He really made a cute cat. When Oci had finished his apple, he carefully placed the core on the ground next to him and continued to watch. The night went quickly, though Oci was ashamed to say it was probably because he'd nodded off a few times during that time. When the first rays of pale light filtered through the leaves, he snapped his fingers, banishing the shadows.
