"But they're bad humans. People who hurt good people," Abaddon insisted
“But I’m still not letting you eat them sweetie.” Grayson said, squeezing his hand a little.
"What if one attacks you and they won't go away? I'll have to eat them to protect you," Abaddon tried to rationalize
“That’s not how normal people defend themselves. That is not how you will defend anyone. Not to mention I am completely able to defend myself.” Grayson responded.
"Can I eat not people? Like demons?" Abaddon asked hopefully. "They're not humans, so they'd make less people mad."
“Sure. I guess. Just not when I’m around.” Grayson shrugged, smirking.
"Alright, I'll just knock you out while I eat them," Abaddon hummed happily
“That’s not very nice.” Grayson frowned.
"Well, you won't have to see it, and you won't get upset that way," Abaddon said with a grin
“But I’ll know it’s happening!” Grayson protested, letting go of Abaddon’s hand and crossing his arms with a huff.
"Maybe I could just autopilot your body while you're asleep and go eat people. C'mon, babe," Abaddon whined
“No. You cannot autopilot me to do anything. Especially to eat people.” Grayson sighed.
"But baaaaabe…" Abaddon complained loudly, draping himself across Grayson in the process
"No eating people. That's final." Grayson said, leaning over and kissing his cheek before pushing Abaddon off of him.
Abaddon just groaned loudly, flopping back against Grayson before grudgingly righting himself. What was he going to eat now? Silly human food?
"Don't be grumpy all day. If you wanted to eat people, you should've found a different human." Grayson said with a smile.
"You do realize my diet consisted mostly of eating other creatures, right? Humans do it all the time. Cows, pigs, sheep. I just like mine whole," Abaddon retorted
"Yeah but wouldn't it be weird if you were a cow and I just ate your own kind right in front of you?" Grayson replied.
"Have you never heard of cannibalism? Because that's a human thing. Some of them do that," Abaddon pointed out. "And quite frankly, I wouldn't care if someone ate a spirit right in front of me, because I eat spirits. And I don't think cows care too much, because they can't understand that steak used to be Jimmy two farms down."
Grayson stared up at him with wide eyes. "Why would you say that? That's so sad.."
"It's not sad, it's what happens on a day to day basis," Abaddon tried to rationalize
"Not humans!" Grayson replied angrily.
"Yes humans. You should see some of the universes I've been to, the species has practically been used as cattle," Abaddon said with a shrug
"Oh..okay…" Grayson looked back down, thinking about this new information.
"But this one seems to like you enough for me to be with you," Abaddon said with a small grin, wrapping an arm around Grayson now
"I'm glad." Grayson smiled a little, snuggling close to Abaddon's side.
Abaddon beamed, proud he had successfully soothed Grayson. He cuddled him close, giving him a little squeeze
"I get to choose what we get since you made me sad." Grayson said with a grin.
"Okay, fine. As long as it's not something disgusting, because then I will eat someone," Abaddon said with a small grin of his own
