His Mom picked up a second later and Grayson smiled a bit. The conversation lasted for a couple minutes and Grayson assured her he’d come visit soon and “yes I’m eating. Yes I have a boyfriend. No we can’t come for dinner, he’s very busy.”

Abaddon giggled at that. "What's wrong, baby? Don't want to introduce your boyfriend to the family?" he teased
Grayson hung up and looked down at him. “No offense, but you don’t have a job or family, and I met you in a graveyard.” He said, smiling slightly.
"Why not lie? Humans do it, I do it, it's an easy fix. I can make myself look human, pretend to be something I'm not," Abaddon hummed
“If you want to. They love interrogating though.” Grayson said. “Why are you being so clingy?”
"Because I didn't like the way that guy–that brother of yours talked to you. I like you just the way you are, even if he doesn't," Abaddon murmured
“It’s more than that, baby. You don’t understand.” Grayson said, slipping out of his arms once again.
Abaddon looked almost sad now as Grayson broke away once again. "Why…Why do you keep pushing me away? What's wrong?" he asked softly
“It’s nothing.” Grayson said quietly, walking towards the stairs.
Abaddon's face only fell further, and he all but radiated sadness. He physically drooped, not bothering to follow Grayson up the stairs. "O…Okay then," he said softly
Grayson stopped, turning again and wrapping his arms around Abaddon, burying his face in the crook of his shoulder. “I’m sorry..”
Abaddon's breath had caught when Grayson suddenly hugged him, and for a moment, he thought he might burst into tears. He didn't cry. He didn't think he even knew how to cry. "It's…It's okay," he mumbled, just leaning into the hug
Grayson held him tighter still, guilt mixed with affection coursing through him. “I’m sorry for not telling you anything. I’m sorry for pushing you away. I’m sorry for a lot of things..” He murmured, choking back tears.
"It's okay," Abaddon said again, softer this time. "You were stressed, it's not your fault," he tried to say, but his voice cracked a little when he saw Grayson tear up. "Oh baby, don't cry," he pleaded softly
Grayson just shook his head and hid his face in Abaddon’s shoulder. “It’s not just that.” He replied in a whisper.
"It's okay," Abaddon tried to soothe as best he could. "You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to, it's okay."
“I will..eventually. Just stay with me now.” Grayson told him, pulling himself closer against Abaddon’s chest.
Abaddon nodded, curling around Grayson as comfortingly as he could. "It's okay, baby," he said softly
Grayson pulled away a little and kissed him gently. “I know..as long as you’re here.”
Abaddon gave another little nod, wrapping his arms a little tighter around Grayson, wishing that they could just…feel better. He hated when they felt bad like this
Grayson took a shaky breath and smiled slightly, trying to reassure Abaddon that he was okay.
Abaddon continued to cuddle closer, burying himself in Grayson’s arms. “I’m sorry,” he mumbled softly
“You have no reason to be sorry.” Grayson replied, sitting down on the couch and pulling Abaddon down with him.
Abaddon plopped on the couch next to Grayson, curling around him almost protectively. "I don't like it when you're upset," he mumbled softly
Grayson made a small noise and curled up in Abaddon’s lap, nuzzling his face against his chest. “I’m used to it..”
"You shouldn't be used to it. That's not good. And since I'm living in your body, I don't want it to be normal," Abaddon said softly
“I know…I’m sorry..” Grayson said in return, Abaddon’s words making him feel even more guilty.
Abaddon cuddled closer to Grayson, just feeling like crap more for making Grayson feel worse. "I'm sorry," he said softly, trying to cuddle closer
"It's okay. I can be sorry enough for the both of us.." He murmured, resting his head against Abaddon's chest and closing his eyes.
Abaddon just whined softly, curling around Grayson before letting his eyes fall shut too. He felt mopey now, and just wanting Grayson to feel better
