"Welcome home!" He announced with his bright smile. The yard was full of grass, and up by the house was a nicely kept garden. Flowers filled it, with a lot of color. Pinks, yellows, whites, and reds were all exhibited in the floral bed. (Heh that rhymed) A small stone path led up to the front porch, with a wooden bench swing, painted white, hanging from the overhead. The screen door was shut, but the big oak one was left open so the nice cool breeze could filter in through the house. Coming up the front steps, he set her down besides him with a brighter smile.

Janet's smile grew as well, if that was possible. It was an adorable house, she already loved it. As he set her down, she gripped tighter onto her shoes and held Axel's jacket around her shoulders better. She looked up at him, shifting things around so that she had an empty hand to hold his with.

Taking her hand in his, he pulled the screen door open to lead her inside. "Mom?" He called out softly, after wiping his shoes on the mat by the door. "You can set your shoes down by the door. Then we can go and get you dry clothes." He smiled to her, pressing a kiss to the top of her hand. "Sis?" He called back once he pulled away from her.

Janet smiled up at him. She set down her shoes and slid off Axel's jacket, holding it in her empty hand. She looked around, studying his house with a soft smile set on her lips. A wave of nervousness and shyness rushed over her, realizing that she was about to meet Axel's family.

The room was darker, with a table off to the side. It seemed to be a dining room of a sort. "Looks like they aren't home. Or they're outside." He hummed, taking the jacket from her. Hanging it up, he took her hand once more to lead her up the carpeted stairs. "My sister has some clothes you can borrow until yours dry."

Janet let out a small breath of relief. Of course, she'd meet them sooner or later, but she was kind of glad it wasn't at that moment. After he finished talking, she nodded, following him upstairs. It was a nice house, from what she had seen. She felt a little bad about wearing his sister's clothes, without asking his sister herself.

Pushing the door open, the room was painted a light yellow with white curtains hanging by the windows. It was simple, but still pretty and spacious. "I'll let you get… uhm, dry underclothes. They're in the dresser." He mumbled, pointing over to the tall wooden dresser. Walking over to the small closet, he pulled out a lighter color dress that looked about her size.

Janet paused at the doorway, looking around the room. She looked over at Axel at the closet. "Thank you." She said softly, walking deeper into the room and over to Axel holding the dress. "That one looks nice, it'll probably fit." She smiled up at him.

"You think?" He asked softly, turning to face her. In a joking manner, he held it up to himself over his chest. "I dunno, I don't think it'll work for me. Maybe for you. I think it would look pretty." He chuckled, bringing it over to her with a sweet smile.

"Oh definitely, it would be wonderful on you, I'm sure of it." She giggled and took the dress from him, a bright smile on her lips. "You sure it'll be okay with your sister?" She asked, still unsure about wearing someone else's clothing without asking them.

group

"Yes of course, she won't mind." Axel smiled, pecking the tip of her nose gently. "She's the generous kind of girl, she always shares whatever she has. Now don't think I'm taking advantage of that." He smiled, pulling back from her. "I'm headed to my room to change. It's across the hall, just knock before coming in."

She smiled and nodded, watching as Axel left the room. She went to close and lock the door, turning to face the room after doing so. She let out a satisfied breath, a bright smile unable to leave her lips. Without much more hesitation, she went to the dresser and changed out of her still ocean-soaked clothing and into the dry clothes.

Axel also quickly changed, into a soft sweater over a white button down shirt. He had tan pants on, cuffed at the bottom. Gathering all his wet clothes. Hanging them over his arm, he pushed his door open and jogged down the stair. He was headed outside to go hang them up on the clothing line.

Janet changed a bit slower, but once she did so, she left the room with her wet clothes in hand. She saw that Axel's door was open and he wasn't inside. Looking around a little confused, she ended up going down the stairs as well to find him.

The creaking of the steps alerted him, as he stood in the kitchen making a pot of tea for the two of them. "In the kitchen Janet!" He chirped out, pulling the teabags from the mugs to bring to her.

Janet smiled, hearing Axel. She went to the bottom of the stairs and looked around, seeing the kitchen. She wandered over, taking a deep breath as she smelled the tea. "Um, what should I do with my wet clothes?" She asked, looking around some more.

group

He set both the mugs down on a small side table. "Give them to me, and I'll go to hang them up. You sit here and drink your tea." He hummed, holding his arms out to take them from her.

She went over to him and handed her clothes to him. "Thank you!" She said, going to the counter to grab her tea. She blew on it before taking a sip, a satisfied smile on her lips. Tea was always a great thing, even if it was a warm day.

Quickly running outside, he pinned her clothes up next to his. The line had been clear, which he was grateful for. It meant he didn't have to bring laundry inside to fold. Jogging back inside, he came up to her with a smile. "It'll be dry in a couple hours."

Janet smiled, glad he was back. It felt kind of strange being in a house, that wasn't hers, alone. But the tae was amazing and she was thankful that he made some. "Great! Do you think your mother and sister are gonna be here soon?"

group

"I don't know with them," He sighed, running a hand through his damp hair. Blue eyes training their sight on her face. "If they're at my aunt's house, they won't be back for hours at a time. You might not see them, because we'll have already left by then I'm assuming. If they're at the store, they'll be back in an hour or so." Axel hummed, sitting besides her.

Janet nodded, she didn't mind not seeing them that day. Scooting her chair closer to Axel's, she leaned her head on his shoulder. Being close to him was very comforting. "Well, let's hope they're at the store then." She said with a soft smile.

group

"You don't have to meet them, if you don't want to. We can head out sooner, and we can just stop by to get your clothes." He offered, sipping his own tea cautiously. It was still hot, and he didn't want to burn his mouth. "Or I can just bring them to you, when we meet up."

"That sounds good actually. My house is almost on the other side of town, so maybe you could just return the next time we see each other?" She sipped her tea, it had cooled enough not to worry, but it was still very warm. Her eyes widened remembering something. "We're at your house, meaning your guitar is here!"

group

"H-huh?" He asked confused, looking to her. Things began to click, he figured out what she was saying. "O-oh, oh yeah!" He smiled, pulling himself up from the seat. Setting his tea on the small table, he held a hand out to her. "Come on, let's go grab it."

Janet carefully set down her mug after taking one more sip. She took Axel's hand, smiling while doing so. She excitedly followed him, ready to hear his playing and maybe they'd figure out some songs to play for the thing every Friday.

group

"You'll have to excuse the mess in my room. I was in a rush the other day." He laughed, pulling her along into his bedroom with a soft smile. Letting go of her hand, he went around picking up the scattered laundry and papers so she could walk over to his bed.

She smiled, a little laugh leaving her mouth. Walking over to his bed, she looked around the room. The whole house was so nice in her opinion, every room she'd been in was fun and great. She sat down on his bed and watched him finish up with a smile still on her lips.

His room was darker than the rest, yet still full of sunlight. His guitar was hung up on the wall across from his bed. Tossing his laundry into a pile on the floor, he set the papers on his desk. Unhooking the guitar, he pulled the pic from the strings. "What do I play?" He asking, sitting in the wooden chair by the desk.

"Hmm, I'm not sure…" She said softly. Nothing was coming to mind, even though there are billions of songs with guitar. It is always like that, probably for everyone she assumed. Axel's guitar was very beautiful she thought, then again, most instruments looked good to her.
