"Too broad," she objected.

"the coughing fits. My illness acting up."

"Oh. It's no problem," she replied softly.

He smirks. "Also that kiss was kind of nice."

She blushed furiously and tucked her hair behind her ear again even though it hadn't moved. "Oh, um… Uh–"

He chuckles. "It's true though."

She didn't know if she should tell him that was her first kiss or not. "Y-You're welcome, I guess…"

He leaned in closer to her. "Your blushing~!"

"I'm not!" she denied, only making her blush harder.

"Sure," he said sarcastically .

Bridget covered her cheeks with her hands. "I'm not!"

"Fine" he continues to laugh.

She let her hands drop in defeat and met eyes with him.

He smiles softly.

"Is… Is it a good blush?" she asked shyly.

"Yes, it is."

"Oh." She played with the hem of her shirt, something she did when she was stressed or anxious to release her tension.

He leaned in closer. "Can I try something real quick?"

Her heart raced suddenly. "Wh-What do you want to try?"

"Just say yes or no."

"Yes?" she whispered.

He lifts her head up kissing her softly.

She gasped quietly before slowly returning the action.

He wraps an arm around her waist pulling her closer.

"Mmm…" she moaned quietly, melting against him.

He pulls away slowly placing his forehead on hers.

Bridget caught her breath. "That was… something."
