"You seem tired. You sure you don't need sleep?"

"I'm sure," she replied easily. "I've gone weeks without sleep."

"You need sleep." He states.

Bridget looked at him curiously. "No, I don't."

"No one should go without sleep. I should know that. Deadlines and everything."

She pressed her lips together. "I appreciate your concern, but I assure you, I'm fine."

He sighs. "…I don't believe you."

Bridget sighed. "Of course you don't… I'm fine!"

"and I'm fine means 'I'm full of shit' " he states.

She tilted her head back and closed her eyes. "I swear, I don't need any sleep. Now are we going to watch the movie or not?"

"I guess…"

"Alright then." She opened her eyes and looked at the screen. It was on the menu. "Crap, where's the remote…?"

He pointed to it. It was on the coffee table.

"Uh!" she groaned and leaned forward to retrieve it.

He laughs. sitting sideways feet in the middle of the couch so that way Bridget had room.

She wrapped her fingers around it and pulled it back. "Ha! Got it!" She tossed it to him. "Here you go."

"Thanks." He turned the movie on and sat the remote on the couch

Bridget settled in to watch the movie. Her eyes kept absentmindedly darting to her computer.

Joseph sigh getting up and grabbing her computer sitting back down and handing it to her. "Go ahead…" he looks back at the tv.

She looked surprised before putting it back on the coffee table. "No, I… I can take a break." I can try…

He shook his head. "If it's so important just get it over with." with that he got up completely heading into his room coughing a little.

She watched him go. "It's…" She couldn't say it wasn't important. "Wait, what about the movie?"

"We can watch it later."

Her shoulders dropped and she pinched the bridge of her nose, what she always did to release stress. Nice job, now he thinks your work is more important than this! As much as she hated to admit it, a part of her brain screamed at her: IT IS!

He laid down on his bed coughing again.

She stood up and followed the sound of his coughing. "Are you okay?"

He was curled up into a ball coughing badly.

She ran over quickly. "Joseph?! Oh, God…"

Hey was in pain. "c-can't… breathe…"

Bridget panicked. Suddenly, a strange idea hit her. No, don't do that! Anything but… He's in pain! Help him! SHe cupped his face in her hands and kissed him abruptly.
