"What do you write?" she asked, sipping from the water in front of her.

"just fiction books. have you read any from Joseph Fields?"
"I can't say that I have," Bridget said. He was nice enough. It wouldn't be too terrible an evening.
"Knew it" he was already wanting to leave but he couldn't " I'm not suprised"
“But I’m not saying that I’m not willing to,” she added quickly.
"You don't have to either," he says defensively
She blinked. “Do you… not want me to read them?”
"N-no…you can…It's just…that …their bad"
“I’m sure they’re not bad,” she assured him kindly. Rarely anyone saw this side of her.
"I-if you say so…" He is never like this. No one has ever seen him like this, or rather he's never like this
“So, Joseph Fields, what else do you do? Besides writing,” she added, taking another sip of water.
"I help at the hospital here and there. Others need help also."
She nodded, “That’s nice. I would, but…” I don’t have the time.
"you don't have too." 'did I do something wrong'
“No, I would really like to. I just can’t find the time for anything but the office. That’s all.”
"anyways. how's life treating you?"
“Busy,” she replied without thinking. It was the truth.
"Surprised you even came. By the way, did your friends also set you up?"
She nodded, the look on her face obviously revealing how irritated she had been. "Yours?"
"yep. and now i think he's just laughing his ass off thinking about what might go down" he said taping his finger on the table
Bridget arched an eyebrow. "What does he think 'might go down'?"
"he has this weird imagination. that on one date my life will be complete."
"Hmmm… and when is that?"
"Well this is my first date in a long time. let alone been around anyone other than that ass-hole of a friend" he states "he keep nagging saying. 'You need to go on a date', or, ' find yourself a girlfriend' " He sighs "Any of your friends like that?"
"Try, all of them!" Bridget giggled. "They constantly try and drag me from my office!"
"Mine literally dragged me here. I mean literally dragged me by the feet"
"Okay, that's not as bad," Bridget admitted.
"Yeah. Guess you can say that"
She frowned a little. "They did take my phone before coming here, though."
"So did mine…I will literally slap him tomorrow." he sighs
