A joyous cry flew from my lips as I clung to both Key and Vivian, am enorinous smile overtaking my blissfully happy expression. To fly was an experience beyond words, any description I tried to give it would never to it justice..
Blood Oath (O/O CLOSED)
Key flew high into the sky before he stopped, hovering. He looked down before he looked at me.
“No, you will not—“ Key’s wings stopped moving. We began to fall, the cold air nipping at our skin, eyes watering. Vivian let out a scream that soon became joyous, yet I couldn’t help but curse Key. Damn him. Showoff.
Scylla, who had her talons wrapped around one of Key’s horns, released a melodious call similar to mine. I laughed as we plummeted, raising my arms as if on a rollercoaster.
Wings moved again against harsh winds, and finally, he let me have a peace of mind as he slowed the flight, flying gently against the wind. I breathed in relief. I wasn’t scared. Not for myself. But Elle and Vivian were here. If they slipped…
Then I shook my head. Trust in Key.
“Enjoying yourself?” I murmured, laching my mouth on Elle’s bare shoulder, unable to fight the urge.
I sucked in a sharp breath. My stomach dropped, and for reasons other than the wild flight.
“Colton—“ I whispered, ignkringtbe bkush that stained my cheeks. “Your sister—“
“Cannot see what I’m doing,” I murmured against her skin. “Nor can she hear, not with the harsh winds. But do keep quiet, love, for she’ll know.”
(Ugh, sorry for all my typos, I’m exhausted and nb won’t let me edit again)
I resisted the urge to lift my hands from around Vivian and bury my face in them, though with much difficulty. Scylla, from up front, shot me a teasing look.
(It’s okay! You should sleep.)
I smirked and bit the spot I had my mouth on, my teeth sinking into her flesh. I hadn’t had a chance to do that, not in a long time, so I was grateful for the moment. I liked to see her squirm, but not too much, so I gave the spot one last kiss before I stopped.
“I couldn’t help myself,” I murmured. “You can now enjoy the view.”
(In a bit)
I swallowed hard, struggling to pull an extra layer of illusions over the mark. The extra step, one that we’d trodden on before, was nice, but… nerve-wracking, especially at this height and with Vivian barely a few inches away.
“Are you enjoying yourself?” I murmured to Elle, grateful that she hadn’t cringed away from my touch. Vivian certainly was enjoying herself. She looked extremely happy, and Key seemed to be happy, too, hacing brought her along.
I nodded empathetically, though I did tug the neckline of my dress a little higher over my shoulder.
I reached out to pull it over her shoulder, offering a little help. I wasn’t upset—not really, no. I already knew her answer and decisions, and there was nothing to be upset about.
“I’m glad,” I said to her softly, making sure the wind was delivering my message to her. “Cold?”
I leaned back into his embrace, clinging to Key’s body with my legs. “Not at all, love.”
Still, I urged Key to warm up his body, and while Elle was pressed up against me, I warmed up mine, too. “Well, that’s good.”
I turned my head to lean it against his shoulder, grinning as I watched the world below.
Key grinned and circled midair. He performed tricks for a while, dropping his weight, roaring a flame or creating a gust of wind. It continued on for a while before he started to descend.
“There we go,” I murmured just as Key set his paws on the ground.
Laughing, I slid down his side, landing squarely on my feet. I turned to wait for Colton, eyes sparkling.
I held out my hand for Vivian, who instead wrapped her arms around my neck. I held her close and jumped down from Key before I let her go. Vivian squealed in excitement, running towards Key as he shrunk.
“I love it when your eyes sparkle like that,” I told her, my arms around her. “Had fun?”
I leaned against his shoulder, pressing a kiss against the base of his neck. “Definitely.”
“I’ll take you out again like this,” I said, nuzzling her cheek. “At night, where you don’t have to worry about being seen.”
“That would be amazing,” I murmured, pressing a second kiss to the underside of his jaw.
I breathed out at her action, tightening my hold on her. “Look forward to it. It’ll be like an escape.”
“I can’t wait…”
Meanwhile, Scylla was nudging Key’s cheek with her nose, trying to snare his attention.
I turned my attention towards our bondmates. Key turned his head to nuzzle his mate, his paw reaching out to bring her closer to him. Was this how Elle and I interacted?
While Scylla cuddled up to Key, I snuggled closer to my boyfriend, keeping one eye on Vivian in case she ran off.
“Like humans like bondmates, huh?” I muttered, talking about our bondmates. “Cute.”
Vivian, who realized Key no longer had her attention, turned towards her brother before she scrunched her no.
“Could you not?”
I chuckled, leaning even closer to my boyfriend. “What, Vivian, are we being gross?”
“Extremely,” she muttered under her breath. “You don’t know how it feels watching your brother and his girlfriend flirt in front of you. It makes me want to fall in love, too.”
I scowled at her.
I grinned, a stark contrast to Colton’s expression. “Give it time, Vivian… you’ll find someone eventually~”
“No relationships until you’re at least seventeen,” I scowled at Vivian, who glared back.
“You said sixteen the last time!” She exclaimed. “Why do brothers have to be so protective?”
“Fine, sixteen it is,” I rolled my eyes. “If and only if the guy is worth it.”
