As much as Blair needed a job, the thought of working at a desk repulsed her. She'd lived with her parents for most of her life, but after the death of her dad, she felt the need to take care of her mom.
She had been so focused on school in the past. Desperately trying to learn everything she could about the world above in case she ever got to see it. All they had taught was wars, and how the human population ended up in caves. Needless to say she had dropped that idea.
But ever now and again it seemed to find her again in little ways. Old books, or stories that Noah told her.
The word sunset crept its way back into her mind.
Chasing the sunset O×O (CLOSED)
(I'm so so so sorry I dissappeared, work and sports are stressing me out and I needed a little tech break)
Noah wasn't a huge fan of his job, but he was sure that if he worked enough he would learn to tolerate it. After all, it did the one thing he liked; kept him busy. As a bonus, he also made enough to take care of his grandmother, to keep her comfortable. He had been told multiple times that whatever disease she had was getting worse, and that she didn't have too much longer, but he refused to give up on her. He was going to be there, unlike his parents.
(Ahhh don't apologize! Everyone needs breaks! Never apologize for taking one, especially if its for your health.
But also- I'm so sorry I disappeared for an extended amount of time 💀)
Blair leaned against a fake tree, eyes turned upword at the cave ceiling. She'd applied to another place before waiting outside of Noah's work building.
Teaching would be fun, she did always have that love of knowledge. And it would be easier to get her hands on books of the outside world. Maybe even pictures, Especially some of the solar system.
She looked down at her watch, waiting for the time for Noah to get off work. She had a question for him, and even though he almost always told her about the stories his grandma told him, she wanted to know if she'd ever mentioned a setting sun.
(All good lol, pardon the shorter response)
Noah was actally tired after he got off of work, walking out of the building casually. It only took him moments to locate Blair though, and instantly a small smile appeared on his face as he made his way to her. Spending time with one of his few friends was enough to make him smile. Even if he was tired. "How was your interview?" He asked when he neared her, watching as she leaned against the fake tree, "Did you get the job?"
(Hey so I'm kinda dropping rps that I've lost interest in 💀 I'm sorry. I feel bad when i drop rps, but i don't just wanna watch them slowly die.)
(All good, thank you for letting me know)
