Lloyd sighed, huddling a bit closer to Ellis. "I'm just a big baby, aren't I?"
Ellis shrugged. "A little bit, I suppose."
Lloyd buried his face in Ellis's chest again. "But I'm not supposed to be… I'm… I'm supposed to be a fearless king or something."
Ellis shrugged. "And?"
"And I'm not. Sure, I'll probably do a decent job, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm afraid."
"So? You'll still do a better job than Anton."
"Yeah, yeah, I know… I just feel like I'm not ready even though I've been training all my life."
He bit his lip. "You'll do fine, Lloyd."
"I hope so…" Lloyd hugged Ellis and huddled close to him.
Ellis hugged him back.
"I'll have to do some more studying… I want to do as well as possible…"
"Alright."
"But I don't know how far I can get with just books. Some of it is gonna come from experience, right?"
"Right. And you'll get that."
Lloyd nodded a bit. "Y-Yeah…"
He smiled a little, not sure how to reassure Lloyd.
"I'm sorry I keep whining about this to you…"
"It's alright, Lloyd."
"I-I just feel like there's no one else I can vent to…"
"Well, I'm here when you need it."
"Thank you, Ellis…"
"Of course."
Lloyd fell silent and huddled close to Ellis.
Ellis leaned his head on Lloyd's shoulder.
"I'll probably have to go in about an hour."
"Alright." He replied softly.
Lloyd sighed, moving closer to Ellis and relaxing.
Ellis kept his head resting on Lloyd's shoulder.
After an hour of this, Lloyd sighed and reluctantly moved away from Ellis.
