So this has been done before but it has some of the most epic love stories in the galaxy. I'd like to rp one, which one can be chosen with whoever joins

Any preferences for the couple we shall embody?

(pls ignore the weird speech sorry I'm overtired)

Not really

Alrighty my pretences would be the ever so classic Hades and Persephone OR Orpheus and Eurydice

I don't know that much about Orpheus and Eurydice though

Or anything Apollo and Hyacinth

I don't know that much about Orpheus and Eurydice though

That's alright if you'd like I can debrief you!

Maybe we could do Apollo and Hyacinth

Also, can you debrief me a bit? I don't know much about them either

Yuppers (if you do want to learn about Orpheus and Eurydice, Hadestown is a masterpiece of a musical about their story. Also the Persephone in the show (Amber Gray) is a literal goddess she's incredible. You know what I'm gonna link a clip so you can be introduced while I type A and H's story (I mean you don't have to watch it but it's just so so so good))

(I watched the video and it's so cool!)

So Hyacinth is a beautiful Spartan prince, who Apollo and the West Wind Zephyrus fell in love with.
Hyacinth chose Apollo, and they rode chariots and swans and such things together. One day they're having a friendly disc throwing competition (as one does) and Apollo throws it very far with his godly strength. Hyacinth goes to get it back, but the jealous Zephyrus casts a wind that sends the disc back– it hits Hyacinth's head an fatally wounds him. Hyacinth died in Apollo's arms and though Apollo wants to become mortal and die with him, it isn't possible. So Apollo says he'll honour him in song and creates a flower after him, the hyacinth.
Eventually Hyacinth is reborn as the god of natural decay and renewal, and Apollo creates a three day festival to mourn his death and then celebrate his rebirth.
