Hyacinth turned turned a dark shade of red, glancing at Apollo with a surprised look now. "H-How did you get in here? And why are you here?"
Apollo pulled away slightly and pouted his lips. "I appeared right outside the open gate, first of all. As for your other question I have no better reason than I like you. Valid enough?" he rattled off like a list.
Hyacinth's ears turned pink. "You like me?" He pointed to himself, looking confused as he looked at Apollo. How could a god like him?
Apollo sighed heavily, shaking his head. A strand of golden hair fell across his face.
« I don’t know how to answer that. Yes, I do, and I’d like to know what I need to do to put you at ease. If you’d prefer I leave you be, so be it, I will. Otherwise, what can I do to appease your mind? » he asked earnestly, looking Hyacinth in the eye.
Hyacinth looked at Apollo, moving the loose strand of hair back. "I-I do too, I just don't know what to think or do anymore…" He muttered, quickly looking away and blushing softly.
"Just accept that I like you very much," Apollo murmured in an equally soft tone. "Accept that you are a magnificent, gentle boy, that makes very happy," he continued, leaning into Hyacinth's touch.
Hyacinth's ears turned pink at the compliments. "T-Thank you…" He muttered shyly. "And what if someone finds out?"
Apollo smiled slyly. "Let them. I can handle it," he murmured, lifting his gaze to look Hyacinth in the eye.
"Of course you can, you're a god," Hyacinth replied, a small smile flickering across his face. "And I'm a prince, I have a reputation I need to maintain."
Apollo cocked an eyebrow at him. “Meaning?”
"I'm supposed to marry a girl, create a legacy, and then run away with someone, leaving my wife by herself. Then, she'd create a great kingdom and I'd be shamed," Hyacinth explained with a small laugh.
