Gabe looked over when Alex put the plate to the side. He picked it up.
"Done?" He asked before actually taking it away.

Alex nodded a little. "Mhm."

Gabe nodded, taking the plate out to the kitchen.
Alex watched him go quietly.

Gabe came back quietly.
"What would you like to do today?" He asked.
Alex shrugged a little bit. "I don't know."

"Well, how about we go out?" Gabe asked. "I just don't want you to have another encounter with the dead neighbor." He was staying relaxed, even though he was taking about ghosts.
His mouth twitched in a faint smile. "Alright."

Gabe smiled.
"Good. How does a picnic lunch sound?"
Alex blinked. "Where?" he asked curiously.

"The park." Gabe smiled. "It's… Nice, compared to the city and it."
Alex nodded a little. "Oh. That…that sounds nice."

"Okay then. Picnic in the park it is." Gabe smiled, then turned to pack some food for them.
Alex smiled just a little bit, shifting on the bed.

Gabe packed enough food for the both of them. He didn't have much, but it would do for them both.
"Just let me know when you want to leave," Gabe said.
Alex nodded. "I'm…we can leave whenever you want."

"Okay then." Gabe held the picnic in one hand, offering the other to Alex.
Alex hesitated for a moment, then took Gabe's hand.

Gabe helped Alex up, letting added decide if he would keep holding Gabe's hand as they walked.
Alex kept his hand in Gabe's, not really wanting to let go.

Gabe led Alex out of the apartment, leading him down the stairs.
"How you doing?" He asked.
Alex shrugged a little. "I don't know." he replied softly.

"Okay then," Gabe said. He gave Alex a small smile, leading him out to the streets.
Alex returned the smile a little shyly, following Gabe.

Gabe suck to the less crowded streets, keeping Alex close.
Alex stayed near Gabe, his hair hanging into his face a little bit.

Gabe lead Alex down the roads and alleyways, o occasionally saying hello to the people they passed. People were used to seeing him with other men in tow, and no one thought he was a sodomite. Not anymore, at least. Gabe flashed Alex a smile, and finally they were at the park.
Alex was quiet, eyes flickering a little whenever he saw other people. He didn't say hi, just keeping his eyes on the ground.

Gabe led Alex deeper into the park, where there were a lot less people. It was pretty, with the flowers and trees. Gabe stopped, giving Alex a smile.
Alex returned the smile cautiously, looking around and running his fingers through his hair.
