Do you really want to trust insanity? (Private with Icefire, it's pretty fooking mature, matey)

Alex took his plate carefully, taking a deep breath and eating a little.

Gabe jumped a little to sit on the counter, eating his tiny dinner with a smile.
"Sorry I couldn't offer more," he said apologetically.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex smiled a little. "It's alright. You…you already opened your home to me." he replied softly.

group

Gabe thought for a moment, then nodded.
"Still, I just wish I was better equipped to help you."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex shook his head quickly. "I-I don't think that…that anyone is." he replied softly, looking at his food.

group

"Oh? Why are you so sure about that?" Gabe asked, tilting his head a bit to catch Alex's eye.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex shrugged a little, looking at his food still. "Because." he replied softly.

group

Gabe sighed a little, leaning back.
"I think you'll be surprised by how much I can help."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex shrugged again. "Yes, but…not with everything." Not with the hole in my heart, not with the ghosts I see.

group

"Well, then, it's a good thing I'm not going to try to help with everything," Gabe said.
"You don't need help with everything," he quickly clarified. "Some things need to be addressed on your own, and some things will never go away. Still, it's my job now to help you get by in the society we live in."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex let out a breath. He nodded a little bit, then shrugged. "I…I guess so."

group

"Don't worry," Gabe said, finishing off his food. "You've got a friend in me." He jumped off of the counter, grinning his stupid silly grin again.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex gave a soft chuckle, and ate a bit more.

group

Gabe looked over in mock surprise.
"Did I hear you correctly- was that a chuckle?" His grin widened, and he looked extremely happy.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex blinked. "Oh. I…" he glanced up at Gabe through his lashes in a shy manner. "Maybe?"

group

"Good!" Gabe said. "I'm glad you feel comfortable enough to do that around me."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex smiled just a little bit, still looking at Gabe through his lashes for a long moment. Then he looked down at his food again.

group

Gabe smiled once more, then left the kitchen to go prepare his room for that night for Alex.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex took off his jacket, pulling his journal from the pocket and looking through it for a moment, fingers brushing against the blood and tear stained pages.

group

Gabe, not quite satisfied but realizing this was as good as he could do, stepped back out of the bedroom and into the living room. He didn't look at Alex yet.
"There anything else you want to do while it's still light out?" he asked.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex blinked, glancing up at Gabe and closing the journal. "Uhm…not really." he replied softly.

group

"Kay then," Gabe said, turning to look at Alex. He saw the notebook, but didn't say a word of it. He wasn't going to pry into Alex's life too much.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex sighed softly, offering up a quick smile.

group

"So, Alex, is there anything else you need?" Gabe sat down on his chair, pulling his legs up and folding them infront of himself.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex thought for a moment, then shook his head. He could sleep in his clothes, that was fine. "No." he replied softly.

group

"Okay then. You can go to bed whenever you want to- I'll probably stay up a bit longer to read." Gabe smiled, shifting in his chair.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Alright." Alex got up. "Uhm…where's your washroom, again?"

group

"Down the hall and to the left," Gabe said, smiling.
"I'll be out here if you need anything."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex nodded. "Alright." he replied, and headed down the hallway to use the washroom.

group

Gabe nodded, humming a bit. He repositioned again to get comfortable, picking up his book and settling in.
