Vaughn listened to her answer. Avery the shadowy figured whispered. Pretty name. Don’t you think, Finley? He looked at the figure and gave a nod of his head. “I’m Vaughn,” he told her, reaching up to rub at his jaw. He had a little stubble forming on his jaw and face. He would need to shave, thinking he looked better when he was clean shaven. Made him look a bit more sharp.

(Ooh, stubble, we always love one)

Avery smiled. He seemed much more comfortable and talkative now that they were on the phone. When they were at the bar, he seemed so stand-offish. She thought he didn't want her to talk to him, thought that he didn't like her. But then he left his number, which must have meant that felt some sort of attraction towards her. "Vaughn, it suits you." She spoke through the phone as she set her keys on the kitchen table.

(Hello?)

(Sorry, i haven’t been around at all, i got very busy)

Vaughn stepped away from the mirror and out into the main area of the gas station. He didn’t need that figure distracting him when he was on the phone with someone. He reached up to brush his hand through his hair, pushing it back from his face as he stepped to the radio, turning it on a low volume. “Thank you, I think,” he responded to her words.

(Its okay)

Avery set her keys down in the counter and walked into her room. She kicked off her shoes and placed them in her closet. She sat in her bed and laid back, keeping the phone pressed to her ear. "Its a compliment, I promise." She said with a breathy laugh. She needed to get up, change, shower, but she really didn't want to move and she really didn't want to hang up.

(Bump)

A compliment. Vaughn licked his lips to wet them as he considered it. He wasn’t sure how someone saying his name fit his appearance, but he wouldn’t try asking about it. “Thank you, then,” he responded. He spent a moment of standing there by the counter before that felt too awkward, so he moved to sit down in the desk chair, phone in hand. “Did you have any other plans for the night?” He asked after a moment.

Avery turned over on hee side, tucking her arm under her head. She pulled a throw blanket over her body, getting comfortable. "Not really. I'll prpbably shower in a bit and then go to sleep. What about you? Do you have any plans tonight?" She responded with her own question.
