Em had been standing frozen as the two boys talked to Ellie, and the second both were distracted she had slipped away and ran back to her room, rubbing her chest viciously. The second she was indoors she stripped down to her underclothes and stationed herself in front of the mirror.
Her chest was heaving and reddened, and as she anxiously studied it a flash of pain shot across her torso.
Her face crumpled. "What's this?"
She turned back to her bed, pulling out her notebook from beneath her pillow in search for a sickness to the symptoms.
Cough, swollen and red chest, chest pain, shortness of breath.

It didn't take long for Ellie to find the only room with an open door and Oreos on the bed. She hesitated at the door, that one boy’s warning about pranks making her more anxious before actually entering her room. Well tried to. Her eyes closed reflexively as she collided with a thin, invisible material. She dropped her bags, a bit loudly, as she peeled the film off her face. ”Real mature.” she grumbled throwing the plastic wrap in the trash can. For now, she elected to ignore the prank cookies on her bed and start unpacking until the inevitable Family Dinner. At least then she could meet this mischievous Zane.

Cleo burst through the back door wearing a giant sunhat and gardening gloves. She had been out in the back most of the morning pruning the little garden that she was allowed to maintain. She sighed smiling–as usual– and plopped down a whole mess of vegetables into the sink to clean. "Good Morning!" She chirped to no one in particular. Cleo didn't think there was anyone downstairs.

She hummed as she turned on the sink, the water crisp and cool. Turn it as hot as it will go. Let the heat burn off your skin. Cleo shut her eyes for a brief second, tapping the center of her brows as she always did when she had a bad thought. "Nope! Not today." She replied breezily, picking up a potato. "That's just nonsense." She laughed to herself, although anyone that would have been listening would have noticed how strained it sounded.

Turning around at the girl that just came in with a sigh. Turning around he leisurely made his way upstairs, down the short hall and to his room at the end.
"So much for making a friend"
He mumbles to himself as he pulls out his notebook, writing the name "Blake" on a single page along with a few other names. It was the names of everyone who lived here and he's talked to. Or they have talked to him. Then on other pages were drawings of everyone that lived here. Only the ones that he remembers their name of. Which was only three. "Clea, Zane, and Blake." The pictures were incredibly accurate, though sketchy. Rough edge edges and alot of lines. Somehow they were still good.

Blake slammed his book shut with a groan, why were they teaching him stuff he learned already? That was so stupid. At least he had his online friend, Misha. They met she was asking for help on a forum and he helped. He was really lonely when he got to the house and Misha made it better. "Hey Mish, how you doing? Got any interesting equations you need help with?" He typed out, now he just had to wait for a response.

When Sam had pushed herald dso hard she felt like she was about to pass out, she knew it was time to turn around and head back to the house. She put her hands on her knees for a moment to catch her breath, then turned around she started at a walk, then transitioned to a jog, and then s sprint. She had considered running away a couple of times. It would be easy, she was fast. But she didn’t exactly have anywhere to go. She lived in the most boring town in the world.

Sam entered through the front door and went straight to the bathroom to shower. Luckily, she didn’t run into anyone on her way there. She stood under the cold water wondering when she would feel happy. That’s what happened when you exercised, right? Endorphins were released and they made you happy. So how come no matter how much she exercised, she was never happy?

Silas, or rather, Parisa, had become suddenly shy upon the arrival of the new girl, and had done everything in her power to stay hidden. She would make her introduction to the girl at the dinner, for now, she wanted as much time as possible to prepare.
Or perhaps I'll let Silas have his body back… No! I said I'd spend a day like this, and I intend to keep to my word.
"Oh stop yapping and get on with things. You're so annoying!" Shade grumbled. All the commotion in Silas' mind had woken him up from the best sleep he had gotten in a long time. "Unless you want me to do it?"
No, it's fine! Parisa smiled to herself, mustering up all the courage she could to silently run back to Silas' room. She planned to stay there until it was time for tea. Thankfully, no one noticed her run back. Well at least, she hoped they hadn't…

Stage 3 pneumonia. Em shook her head, dropping her notebook on her bed.
Not real. Not real. Not real.
It was cold. She was cold. Didn't that mean something? She scrambled under her covers, breathing fast. It didn't help. She let out a low whine, the tightness in her chest increasing.
She tried to stand but her legs wouldn't move, and she was quickly losing feeling in her hands. "Don't know what to do."
She couldn't hear her own words over the roaring in her ears.
Focus. Focus. Breathe. She couldn't breathe. All in your head. Stop. Focus.
She shut her eyes against her spiralling mind, humming a song under her breath, trying so hard to focus on the lyrics.
"That's the king. Treat him… Treat him nice. Take… A… Take a turn," she breathed quietly to herself, rocking back and forth on her bed.

It seemed like Cleo blinked and she was back in her room again, with no memory of how she got there. She came back to the present all at once, half naked and holding two pairs of jeans. When–? Cleo shook her head quickly. It was best not to ask when and how she got places anymore. It was only good to figure out how much time she had zoned out for. Looking at the clock had become an obsession of hers since her diagnosis. They were everywhere in her room–and the house–because of her. Glancing at her watch, she sighed. Only about 20 minutes this time. Not bad for autopilot. But still… She stepped over to her meds cabinet and took 3 different pills in rapid succession. Cleo's hand shook a bit, but she paid it no mind. She smiled to herself in the mirror over her desk. "It's alright. We're good. Twenty minutes is nothing."

"Alrighty, kiddos!" Des called out down the hall. "We have dinner in ten, salad and chicken if you want anything else you need to tell me now." They knocked a few other doors to make sure they were heard than headed downstairs to finish up.

Siting up with a sigh, cursing under his breath and grabbing his notebook, his two-inch-thick book with was rather small, just fat. His notebook and his coal pencil and opened the door, starting his way down the hall.

Sam sighed and turned off the water. She had long since been clean and had been just standing there under the water, zoning out. She wrapped her towel around herself and went quickly into her room. She had gone straight to the shower and had forgotten to grab extra clothes. She put on leggings and a t-shirt and ran downstairs. In the last few days, she had taken to sitting in the kitchen when Des was almost done with dinner. She usually got frustrated when she messed up and would end up giving up, but being in the kitchen was a comfort nonetheless. "Can I sit here?" she asked them carefully, indicating a stool at the end of the counter.

Min-Hyuk entered the room with a sigh. He had enjoyed getting here before anyone else, which was rather frustrating when whoever the heck this was, had aways come in before him. He needed to pay attention to the time more so he could best her. Everything was secretly a challenge for him. And every now and then when he would annoy someone, it would be like he's dancing around them trying to make them mad.

Sam's jaw tensed when Min-Hyuk entered the room with a sigh. What the hell was he sighing about? Her being here? Shortly after she had started coming in here, he had started to as well. It was pissing her off. The kitchen had the food, it was supposed to be a sanctuary. Her left hand, the hand that her body hid from him, curled into a fist, ready to punch him if necessary.

Cleo had successfully picked out an outfit for dinner without sinking into her thoughts again, which she celebrated by skipping down the stairs into the kitchen. "Well hello, Sam!" She trilled, dragging the 'o' out enough to be almost annoying. Cleo knew the fine line between cute and annoying and it was one that she danced on frequently. She poured herself a glass of water and parked her butt on one of the bar stools, beaming. "Oh! Hi to you too Min-Hyuk. I didn't see you."

Smirking at the fact that she was annoyed. Because he could tell she was. He paid attention to things like that all the time. And he was very good at reading people. And he actually LOVED to annoy the crap out of people. Especially if they hated him.

Sam sat down on the stool anyways. "Hey Cleo," she said trying not to let Cleo annoy her. The girl had a special knack for it, but Sam didn't think she was trying to. It wasn't worth picking a fight over anyway. She ran her hand through her damp hair, trying to get air into it so it would dry. Her hair was short, but it was thick.

Blake entered the kitchen and went to help Des prepare the salad, he liked cooking, it was like safer Chemistry, most the time. He gave a small nod of acknowledgment to the others in the room before turning his full attention to the salad.

Opening his mouth to say something as Blake entered the room. He really wanted to say something but the words seemed glued to the sides of his throat, not wanting to come out. So he had just ignored it with another visibly annoyed sigh.

Honestly Ellie has been taking her sweet time with unpacking before Des had knocked on her door with a ten-minute warning. At least she could come up with an excuse in that time, she actually already had three on the tip of her tongue. She just had to hope that Des hadn't paid that much attention to her file. Once finally finished unpacking, she double-checked the small amount of make-up she was wearing; no dark circles under her eyes, the highlighted cheekbones were just something she was trying out… Maybe I should let my hair grow out again… she sighed running her hand through the short choppy red strands. She was really hoping to be the last one to show up at the table; get introductions over all at once and make sure she didn't mess up with what she wanted to say to Zane.

@amber_is_in_a_loop

Em had been silently sitting on her bed for a good fifteen minutes when Des's warning knock shocked her out of her own head. She tensed, startled, but didn't make a sound.
Carefully, making sure her legs weren't shaking enough to make her fall over, she stood. She walked over to her mirror, making sure she didn't look too wild eyed. Her hand went to her chest again, and another flash pain made itself known.
She was now fighting hard not to cry. She walked out of her room, relieved to find a deserted hallway. Now to walk down the stairs. If they creaked, she'd definitely be announced. Then they'd see her before she had the time to collect herself and talk to Des about her incident.
She treaded carefully on the steps, expertly avoiding the noisy spots, and made it downstairs without a sound. She walked into the kitchen, head down, having heard the multiple voices before walking in.

Min-Hyuks eyes floated over to the giro walking in. He didn't plan on paying much attention to her anyway. Nor did he any of the others. Other than that one incident with him and Blake. He was still extremely confused.
"너무 많은 사람들."
He mumbled to himself as he opened his sketchbook and started to draw.

Blake finished up the salad and set it next to Des's platter of chicken. After that, he sat down next to Min-Hyuk and watched Des make the rest of the food with a small frown. He was supposed to get his therapy animal soon, but she wasn't here yet and the episodes had only gotten worse.

Min-Hyuk was actually surprised by Blake sitting by him, but he actually didn't mind. Though what's worse was that he was drawing Blake. Again, he draws everyone in the house and he had just gotten to Blake. He kept drawing hoping he would notice.
