Farah continuously glanced up at her, worried about her protégé. Finally, the silence between them was too much for her to take. She used her magic to shut the door and set up a silencing spell in case things got out of hand either way. "What is going on with you?" she asked pointedly.

Farah watched her go, confusion and hurt on her face. She locked the door with her magic before Neva could leave. "I've been nothing but kind and supportive of you. And this is how you repay me? Treating me like I don't even exist?"

Neva felt the hot tears run down her face, " it's cause of me.. the fire.. all me.. my powers scared mom when they showed.. she jumped back when dad's shirt was soaked with gas… The flame caught on everything.." Neva stared to sob " she just wanted to light candles and I killed them both!"
