Sam covered his mouth with one hand to keep himself from bursting into laughter. He shifted the two dolls around, only letting out a chuckle as he set Augustine in Harina's lap. He moved them both from in-between himself and Karia, laughing a bit.
"Come on, it's your turn now," he said, turning to Karia with a smirk.

Karia snorted at seeing the two dolls with their cute little hairstyles. It was especially hilarious now that Augustine was sitting in Harina's lap. "Ooh, alright." Karia shook his head a little, his shoulder-length turquoise hair now falling to his waist. "If this is too long for you, let me know." He said, turning his back to Sam and laughing lightly.

"This is the perfect length, thank you." Sam hummed softly, moving closer. He took Karia's hair in his hands, beginning his work. He gathered two parts from the front of Karia's hair, bringing them to the back and using a rubber band to tie them together. He then tucked this strand behind the meeting point, starting to braid. He kept it loose, tying it in place. For the finishing touch, he twisted the braid up, arranging it carefully before pulling away.
"Done~!" Karia's hair now looked like it was gathered up into a rose shape, and it looked pleasant on him from Sam's perspective.
"Wonderful!" Karia grinned, then fell silent as Sam started to work. It felt sort of nice, having someone braid his hair. He tried not to move, even though he wanted to bounce a little. Movement would probably mess with Sam's work. When Sam declared the hairdo done, Karia immediately reached behind and carefully touched it. "Thanks! Do I look beautiful?" He turned around and faced Sam, tilting his head slightly with a smirk. "Oh, I want to see it!" Karia jumped up and started towards the bathroom so he could look into a mirror.

"Very," Sam confirmed. He was thankful Karia had stayed still for him, smiling some as he watched the man take off. Sam took a bit longer, standing slowly. He was quite enjoying himself, but he didn't have the energy Karia did when it came to things like this. Slipping his hands in his pockets, he left the room, following Karia to the bathroom. He leaned on the doorframe.
"What do you think?"
Karia sped into the bathroom and instantly started trying to look at the back of his head. There was only one mirror, so it took a lot of work, but he eventually managed to see enough of it to be satisfied. "Ah, I love it!" Karia did a little dance and gave Sam a very, very big smile. "I'm the prettiest one, right?" He stared at Sam, that smile still bright on his face.

"Course you are," Sam said, smirking some in turn. "And I'm glad you like it, you look absolutely amazing." The man stayed leaned against the door, taking a moment to look over Karia like he would with a new doll. He didn't mind doing it anymore, not that he did anyway. He just knew he wouldn't be able to actually doll Karia.
"That's what I thought." Karia looked back at the mirror and continued admiring himself. If he ever had to go to a fancy event for something, he was going to ask Sam to do his hair. "Ha, if I didn't like it there'd be something wrong with me. It's beautiful."

"Good, then! It's something new I tried, I'm glad it worked out." Sam pushed off of the doorframe, looking over the braid from his new spot behind Karia. He hummed some, smirking still.
"I do like this on you, it suits you very well."
"I wouldn't have known." Karia turned around and leaned against the sink. "It's very professional." He grinned at Sam, tilting his head back for a second before quickly looking at him again. "Aww, thanks!" Karia winked at him and pushed off the sink. "So, what do you want to do now?"

"Well, I'm glad you think so. I do have much fun doing hair." The man chuckled some at the wink, smiling some.
"And I'm not sure, really. I never do know what to do with myself this time of day." Sam walked out of the bathroom, turning to look at Karia as he did.
"Perhaps a meal?"
Karia grinned and glanced at the mirror one last time, then turned back to Sam. "Yeah, that would work! Hmm, I think we would have to eat here. I don't want to change just yet." He laughed and followed Sam out of the bathroom. "How opposed are you to mac and cheese? If you don't like it, I bet I can figure out something else."

"I have nothing against it," Sam said, smiling. He made his way down the hall towards the kitchen, humming some.
"It sounds good to me, even. Want some help?" Sam kept his hands in his pockets. He was relaxed, a faint smile on his lips. He had fallen back into a cool, almost detached enjoyment of the situation he found himself in.
"Ooh, perfect!" Karia grinned and headed after Sam towards the kitchen. "Yeah, sure! It'll be a whole event. I love it." He skipped the last few steps into the kitchen and immediately started clattering around in the cabinets, looking for a saucepan. "We only have boxed mac and cheese, sorry. It should be in there somewhere." He waved vaguely towards the pantry and at least three different cabinets.

"I don't mind. It's fancier than what I normally have." Sam moved over to the general area Karia had waved to, opening the pantry first to look around.
"I usually just have fast food," Sam continued, "of whatever I can get for a hand out at the soup kitchens. I'm not very… Picky." The man chuckled softly to himself as he thought, shaking his head a bit.
"Ah, so I'm treating you! Awesome!" Karia unearthed a big enough saucepan and spun around. "It should be on the bottom shelf." He waved the saucepan at the correct shelf and headed to the sink to fill the pan with water. "I'm going to make this the best mac and cheese ever," Karia vowed, nodding along with his own words. "All the butter, yes."

Sam looked for a moment, stepping away from the pantry with macaroni in hand. He held back a laugh, nodding.
"Yes, all the butter." He moved to Karia's side, humming slightly under his breath.
"Sounds amazing to me."
Karia laughed, setting the saucepan onto the stove and turning on a burner. "Ah, and now the waiting starts." He sighed, tapping the handle of the saucepan with a slightly annoyed look on his face. Mac and cheese was really good, but waiting for the water to boil was his least favorite part of it. Karia spun to face Sam. "Do you have any tips for passing this boring, boiling-water time?"

"Well, a watched pot never boils. Perhaps a distraction is in order." Sam laughed softly, pulling Karia away from the stove some to get his mind off of it.
"Besides, they say doing things you like makes time fly, yeah?"
"I guess…" Karia let Sam pull him away. "Yeah. 'Time flies when you're having fun', right?" He grinned at Sam. "Now, what should we do?" Karia tapped his chin, frowning some as he tried to think of something for them to do. His mind was embarrassingly empty, however. Karia peeked at Sam out of the corner of his eye, hoping he would come up with something first so Karia didn't have to admit that fact.

"Well, it shouldn't be something that takes too much time," Sam said, thinking. "Perhaps a game of cards?" Sam had no idea if Karia had any, or knew how to play the games that Sam himself knew. He also figured Karia would prefer not to go right back to messing with the new dolls.
"Ooh, yes, cards sounds like fun!" Karia clapped his hands and bounced out of the kitchen and towards a small cabinet in the living room. "This is the interesting stuff cabinet. It has interesting stuff in it– and cards also, because they're interesting," He explained, dropping down in front of it. He had to search through it for a while but eventually found a deck of cards. "Here we go!"

Sam followed Karia out to the living room, nodding some.
"Ah, I see." Karia was quite the interesting man, himself. So… bouncy, and so willing to kill. Sam found it refreshing.
"Good, then. What kind of card game would you like to play?" Sam hummed, staying standing next to Karia with him knelt down.
"Um, I don't really care. What card games do you know?" Karia looked up at Sam, eyes wide and shining with excitement. He shifted into a sitting position, pulling the cards out of the box and fanning them out. "Ah, I found the good deck! These ones are really pretty." He showed them to Sam, grinning proudly.

"Well, I know war, and go fish. Euchre too, but that takes four people." Sam moved to sit down across from Karia, looking down at the cards.
"Oh, those are really nice," the man agreed, nodding. He offered a small smile, looking up to Karia again.
"We'll have to choose a quick game, though, so the water doesn't boil over while we play."
Karia nodded as Sam listed the games he knew. "Aren't they? I love them." He sighed happily. "Anyway, I think war would work. It's not always quick, but it is quick. And we can pause it whenever, right?" Karia started shuffling the cards. "What do you think?"

"Sounds good to me." Sam offered a smile, looking down at the cards.
"You wanna deal?" The man crossed his legs under him, hands going to rest on his knees.
"Yeah, of course!" Karia nodded, shuffling the cards a few more times before dealing out the cards. He hummed lightly as he did, his head bobbing slightly to the melody. "Are you ready?" Karia looked up at Sam, a grin on his face.

Sam picked up his pile once it was given to him, shuffling some himself before setting it down.
"Ready," He said, hand going to the top to wait for the draw. "You?" The man smirked a bit, competitive even in this game of chance.
"Ha, of course! I think you'll find my luck is all over the place, so this will be a good game." Karia straightened out his pile, then grabbed the top card and placed it face up in front of him. It was a three, which was almost the worst card. "Ah, see?" Karia sighed.
