"We don't have guts. So you already have more than we do."

Derik leans back in the foldable chair. “Anyways. Let’s get outta this stuffy place, eh?” He stands and opens the door, only to be met with a cleaning bot. “GAH!” He stumbles back, then huffs. “Damn things-“
She smiled wearily again.

Asani had sat in a charging station, but she couldn't power down.

Jasper was in the daycare talking to Sundrop, and they were laughing pretty hard. She noticed Derik walk in and decided to introduce herself. She had just gotten back from suspension, and there were quite a few new faces on the day and night shift. She walked up to him and cleared her throat to get his attention "Hi, I'm Jasper" She said, cooly, with a hint of her usually excitement

he picked up a ball and accidentally popped it by squeezing too hard, he jumped a bit and stuffed it back in the ball pit, looking around to see if anyone noticed

Derik chuckles and shakes his head at Benny, then looks at Jasper. “Hello. Nice to meet ya. I’m just filling in for someone. He should be back soon.”
Asani peeked out, then went back to the charging station when she saw the new person.
"Nice to meet you too. What shift do you work, I feel I've seen you around" Jasper said with the utmost confidence in her correctness. She looked in the direction of the sound, smiled at Benny when he looked at her, and looked back to Derik. "Is he your friend?" She asked. She knew she asked a lot of questions, but she was counting on getting to know this guy

Derik chuckles. “I work at the place across the street. Ima mechanic. But I just stood in for Mason.” He smiles at Benny. “And I hope so-“
"That's cool." She said, contemplating whether to bring up Jace. She wasn't going to divulge too much information, but Jace's body was her crowning achievement. "I designed and engineered an animatronic actually. She should be around here somewhere if you'd like to meet her?" She said, scanning the daycare for Jace. She spotted her playing with a few kids, they were touching her tail and her ears, and she seemed to be fine with it. She hesitated for Derik's answer before calling her over

Derik smiles. “Sure. These kiddos need way more than just sun.”
“Hey!” He calls. “I am a very good daycare attendant! I just- need a little assistance is all…”
Derik grins. “Anything ya say, bud.”

"Oooh Jaaaaaaaaaaaaace" she called, exaggerating the J, as she did, giggling when Jace sighed, got up, and walked over to them.
"You want to show someone your work on me huh?" Jace said, her voice still robotic and sarcastic, but sweet nonetheless
"Yep! You're so pretty though~" She said when Jace looked at her with exasperation.
"Hi. I'm Jace, and I'm Jasper's best friend. If you want, I don't mind him showing off a bit. He's really proud of my body. Especially the wiring and fur." Jace smiled. She was used to this, and truly didn't mind, just liked to give Jasper attitude
