“You’re not supposed to be here…” Alex muttered fearfully, pushing past him to get to the door. As he took out his keys, his hands were shaking.
“I figured it was bout time we caught up”
Alex wrinkled his nose in disgust “Jesus you reek of alcohol. Please just leave before I call the cops. I do have a restraining order you know.”
“Cmon Alex, it doesn’t have to be this way.” He slurred.
“Yes it does” he tried to stop the trembling in his voice as he finally got the door open stepping into the safety behind it. He tried to close the door but found it stopped by the guy’s foot. “Nate I’m serious…p-please leave”
“No, I think I’ll stay, it’s been awhile.” Nate smiled, taking a step forward, and another. Alex struck with fear, let him. He backed up another, behind his back, still trembling, he managed to dial 911. He screamed as Nate pinned him to the wall, he twisted Alex’s wrist, making him drop the phone. “Really Alex? Trying to call for help?” Disappointment entering his gaze. “I just want to have a little chat.”

Landyn heard the noise dropping his crutches and trying to run but falling. "S-Shit…"

Alex couldn’t stop shaking “w-why do you keep coming b-back?”
“Haven’t I said this before? I just want us to be together again.”
Alex just shook his head repeatedly, unable to form words.

Landyn gets back up hopping on one foot. "Stupid. Why did you do this to yourself…" He runs again trying to get to where the scream was.

“You were the one who pushed me away in the first place Alex. I’m just trying to fix all of this. But still you’re trying to make me look like the bad guy?!” Alex flinched as anger entered his voice.

Landyn was at the stairs. "Danmit. ALEX???" He yelled.

Alex froze, ‘Please no, please no, please God no’ Nate looked at him. “Alex who is that?”
“He’s no one I swear, he’s just a friend.” He replied quickly.
“Better go tell him you’re okay then. You better be back here within two minutes.”
He let him go and Alex quickly went to
go find Landyn.

Landyn saw him. "Jesus…" He falls his foot hurting badly.

“Landyn! My God, are you okay?” He walked down a few stairs closer to him.

he was breathing heavily. "I will be…"

“Why’d you come back all this way anyway?”

"I heard a noise…I was worried…"

“I’m fine. I just fell Landyn. Everything’s okay…”

"I can't get up now…I may have ditched the crutches…"

Alex offered him a hand up. “Normally I’d walk you but I have a phone call for work pretty soon.”

He stood on one foot. "It's fine. As long as I get to my crutches I'll be fine, And if anything happens, Anything, You let me know."

“I-I know, I will. Be careful.”

He gives a worried look. "H-Hey…What's wrong?"

“Nothing’s wrong.” He shrugged.

"Then why did you stutter?"

“Landyn I’m fine. I just stutter sometimes.”

"That's a lie."

“I think you should go now…”

"I understand." He puts his foot down and walks away not even waving bye.

As much as it hurt him to push him away, he was too afraid right now. He slowly turned and went back up the stairs to his apartment.

Landyn reached his crutches but fell due to his foot.
