“You okay babe?!” He asked, looking up from his sauce.

"Just touched the pan…I'm fine." He smiled at him.

“O-okay. Just making sure! I’m almost done over here.”

He sits the drained noodles back on the stove. "Ok!"

“Aaaaand we're done!” He announced a few moments later.

"Yay!" He cheered happily. "It smells so good!"

“Yeah you’re right!”

"Good job!" He kissed his cheek.

“We didn’t burn the house down!”

"Well duh." he laughs

He laughed “let’s eat then shall we?”

He nods happily.

“Where are the bowls babe?”

"Left side cabinet."

“Thanks!” He responded and grabbed two bowls for them.

Landyn smiled brightly.

He handed Landyn one of the bowls and kept the other for himself, dishing some food into it.

Landyn waited for him to get finished so he could get some.

Alex sat down with his bowl.

Landyn gets him some and sat next to him.

“We made some pretty good stuff!”

"Yep! But the eggs were better…"

“True but they’re professionals” he replied before taking a bite. “Don’t be so harsh on yourself.”

"…I did take cooking classes."

“Still, don’t be mean to my Landyn.”

He laughed. "Fine, I'll stop."

“Thanks. Becuase my Landyn is amazing, and no one gets to be mean to him.”

"But I am your Landyn."

“Yup. And you’re amazing. And even you’re not allowed to be mean to yourself.”

He messed with his jacket sleeves. "…Way too late for that…"
