Rowan sighed quietly and took Harrows hand under the table. He glanced over at him slightly worried and squeezed his hand.

Harrow glanced back at down and lightly stroked the others hand with his thumb, silently offering reasurance to whatever was worrying rowan.
Rowan soon smiled happily and leaned against Harrow slightly. He put the thing that was worrying him out of his mind and relaxed.
Harrowed leaned on the others head and kissed it gently before returning his gaze to the chef who had started proportioning out the food
Rowan let his mind wander as they watched the chef. He absentmindedly tapped his finger on his knee. Just habit, mixed with nerves.
Harrow lifted his head from Rowan's to start eating, still keeping their hands laced under the table
Rowan started eating as well and pulled out his wallet once they were finished so he could pay.
Harrow shook his head "my treat. I'm paying." He said, handing over his credit card to the waiter and nodding
“That’s not- no!” Rowan spluttered as the waiter took Harrows card. He pouted and took his hand again, kissing it gently.
Harrow laughed softly and brushed his hand against Rowan's cheek "it's okay, you can get the next date."
“Well, I’m definitely looking forward to it.” Rowan grinned, leaning his head towards Harrow slightly. The waiter came back and he stood up to leave with Harrow.
Harrow smiled and stood with him, nodding knthanks to the waiter as he took back the card
Rowan squeezed his hand gently and they left the restaurant. He checked the time quickly and looked around them nervously. “So..what now?” He asked distractedly.
Harrow sighed and pulled Rowan to a gentle stop "alright tell me what's going on. Your distracted and nervous."
Rowan sighed and dropped his head briefly. “I didn’t want to tell you cause I promised that I wouldn’t let Zander do anything.” He said quietly. “But I got some threatening texts earlier and I think they’re from him. I was just worried that he was here or somewhere close..”
"son of a -" harrow pulled away to take his hands through his hair. "Mom… She probably gave him your number, seeing that we were close." He growled softly under his breath "we need to get you home."
“Uhh..yeah. Are you sure he’d do something to me?” He asked, staying close to Harrow as they walked. “It seems excessive..”
"you saw him at the party. All he knows us excessive." He said, taking Rowan's hand in his and pulling him close as he walked down the street
Rowan hugged Harrow close to him and sighed. “Well I’m not taking back my promise. He won’t take you from me. And I won’t let him hurt either of us.” They got to his neighborhood and he turned to Harrow. “I don’t know if it’s a good idea for you to walk me all the way home. I don’t know where my dad is right now..so..”
"and we don't want to put you or your family in more danger in case he is watching." Harrow nodded and pulled Rowan close "he will never have me. How can he when be given myself to you?" He whispered softly in Rowan's ear. He kissed his cheek and pulled away "I love you, stay safe," he said before heading back towards his apartment
Rowan took his arm before he walked away and pulled him into a kiss. “I love you too, stay safe.” He replied. “We’ll figure out what to do about Zander, it’ll all be okay.” He walked away, waving a bit at Harrow as he turned the corner.
He hummed softly at the kiss, never wanting to let Rowan go. He nodded afternpulling away "I hope you're right." He walked to towards his apartment
Rowan swung his arms at his sides as he walked and soon arrived at home. Nobody seemed to be home except for his sister doing dishes in the kitchen. “How long have you and that Jacobsons guy been hooking up?” She asked with a sly smile, not looking up. Rowan froze, then sighed and followed her words into the kitchen. “How did you know?”
“It’s really obvious. You’re lucky mom and dad are oblivious most of the time. Maybe try not being so adorable in public.”
Harrow reached his apartment and sighed softly
"Hello, dear." A low male voice came from the kitchen. Harrow stiffened at the familiar voice and slowly made his way towards the voice "z..Zander?"
"Ah harrow your home! We've been waiting for hours!"
"Mom? What are you two doing here?" Harrow asked seeing that harrow was sitting in a chair at the dining table and his mother near the door frame.
"Why I've come to see my fiance of course,"
“Maybe you should stop spying on me. His name is Harrow, by the way.” Rowan said, leaning on the counter next to her. “And you can’t tell mom or dad. They would kill me if they found out who he was.” He added in a whisper.
“I wouldn’t have told them. If they need to know about their adult son’s love life then they can find out themselves.” She finished the dishes and flicked some water at Rowan. “Speaking of adult, when are you moving out?”
He flinched and swatted her hand away. “Sunday. You can help me.”
"I'm not your fiance." Harrow growled as he set his keys down "and I'd appreciate it if you didn't come to my apartment without notifying me first."
"Now harrow, we only want to discuss the other night. Zander and his family have graciously agreed to move the wedding to three months, seeing how nervous you were at the party.
"How kind now leave." Harrow glared at Zander who stood up and stakked over to him "now dear, that's no way to treat guests or your future husband."
"You are neither guests or my future husband."
“I could. But I have a..date..on Sunday.” She said shyly, walking into the living room. Rowan gasped and followed her quickly. “Who is it?! When did it happen? Can I meet them?”
Colleen blushed and hid her face in her hands. “Stop pestering me. It’s that blonde guy from my art history class, Jack.”
“Oohh! The one that you talk about all the time! That’s so cute!” Rowan grinned, sitting down next to her.
"such a shame, I was hoping to stay a bit longer to finish that kiss." Zander purred, tilting harrows chin up "oh well, all in due time darling." He wakes to the door and left Harrow and his mother alone
“Yeah whatever..” She smiled, leaning against Rowan. “Can’t believe you’re with Harrow. The one guy our dad would not be okay with.”
“He’s amazing though. Their rivalry doesn’t even have anything to do with us. He’s really cute too..” He sighed, flopping back onto the couch.
“Oh my god you are totally in love with him. I haven’t seen you this bad since that boy Alex.”
"please harrow just calm down! You're acting rediculous." His mother pleaded, her arms crossed over her chest."ridiculous? Mom, this whole situation is rediculous! Did you see what he did to me at the party? Did you hat he did now?!"
