"Sounds like a good idea. I should try it. I don't just have my own thoughts whizzing through my brain." She chuckled.
Haven: A Torch in the Night (may get heavy and violence is a possible occurrence)
"Yikes. I always pass when someone asks me if I'd want to read minds cause having people like you around show me how much a pain that'd be. I'm completely fine just my abilities." Tempest responds as they near the mess hall
"It's a nightmare- so if you're given the chance don't do it." She said rubbing her temple:
"I don't want to think what would happen if I let Anna do what you did because," he looked to her "No offence or anything but her mental abilities are literally the strongest I've seen yet."
"No I understand. She's way beyond literally anyone I know. She's going to be a powerful girl one day." Mallory nodded.
They both enter the mess hall and people were already starting to crowd the line. "If she tried what you tried.." he didn't want to finish that thought
"It won't happen. I'll be there and do it so she wouldn't have to." Mallory said laying a hand on his shoulder.
"…you're a kind person but I'm not letting you try that again." He told her as they now stood in line
"And I'm not letting you stop me if it's a do or die situation. I know Anna would do it if I didn't beat her to it." Mallory said running a hand through her hair.
"Let's hope it doesn't come to that." he looked up at the electronic announcement board that other Haven locations in different continents and allies could communicate. "Collect sample mission volunteers…guess I should go supervise that after breakfast…" Tempest muttered to himself.
"What's that?" She asked grabbing a tray for both of them.
"Nothing just a field mission." he responded as he grabbed a bowl
"Oh ok- do I need to attend?" She asked sliding her tray along and grabbing her food.
"It's only by who volunteers." Tempest Explained as he filled his bowl with shrimp and grits, with a gravy sauce.
"Aww ok." She nodded grabbing some fruit.
a paper ball hit the back of Temp's head which he turned and waved to Jacob, the comic store owner teen that hosted a demon
Mallory looked at the teen then back at Tempest. "Who's that?"
"Jacob, he's someone that doesn't live here but visits a lot. He owns a comic shop in town." Tempest responded
"Wait- which one?" She asked perking up at the name.
"That one!" he said pointing to the smiling curly haired teen wearing a green lantern shirt
'Oh he's cute.' She smiled to herself. "I think I may recognize him."
"You do? You read comics?" I wonder if she knows about his…hosted friend? he thought
"Oh yeah- all the time. It's a great pass time." She smiled.
The teen makes his way through the line seemingly two voices saying
"Excuse me!" one said
"Outta the way!" the other said
"Sorry 'bout that!" the first one told a older angel
"Move it!" the second told another as they made their way over to Temp and Mal
Mallory looked at Tempest confused.
