Sebastian brushed his thumb across her knuckles. “Happy Valentine’s Day, Devon…” he whispered, pressing one hand against his pounding heart.

Devon slowly opened her eyes to look at him, blinking once before she let a small, somewhat shy smile cross her lips. “Happy Valentine’s Day to you, too, Seb… Thank you.”
(Bahstin*)
(😂)
"I should be the one thanking you…" he whispered, trying and failing to hold back an enormous, dorky smile.
"Well, you made my day, so I'm thanking you," Devon whispered back, her smile growing. "I hope it was as good of a day for you as it was for me."
“I can safely assure you that this was the best day I’ve had in a while,” he answered with a soft, bashful grin.
Devon grinned and squeezed his hands. “I’m glad… Oh, I need to pick Layla up. Um, would you like to come with?”
"Of course," Sebastian smiled. "I'd be happy to."
“Great. I’m sure she’ll be happy to see her Bahstin,” Devon chuckled. “We can take my car, if you want.”
"That makes sense, considering the fact that I don't have one," he chuckled in response.
“Well, I mean, we could also take the bus, but that would take forever,” Devon said with a shrug, moving to put her shoes on.
"Let's just take your car," he agreed, lifting his coat off a hook.
Devon smiled over at him as she pulled her coat on. “Sounds good. It won’t take long.”
“Is it strange to say that I miss her?” he asked, “Layla, I mean.”
"No, I don't think so," Devon mused softly, turning to give him a warm smile. "I think it's sweet."
(oml I wasn't getting the notification for this and the other Seb/Devon rp for some reason??? Maybe I just forgot to respond? I'm so sorry)
His subtle smile grew.
"She's so….. pure, I don't know," he murmured, "Sweet. Babies and toddlers are, in general, but she's… special."
(Lol. Dw about it. I was wondering if you were just taking a break, tbh.)
Devon's cheeks tinted a slight pink at his words as she nodded in agreement. The warm smile she gave him turned fond, and she gently nudged his shoulder with her own. "That's a really amazing way to put it, Seb. She is special. She's my little miracle," she mused softly.
(Sorry)
Sebastian’s smile was practically ready to take over his entire face. Bumping their shoulders together a second time, he reached for the doorknob. “Well, you’re a miracle, too. Don’t discredit yourself~”
(Dw about it!)
Devon felt her cheeks heat up at his words, and she looked up at him with a small smile. "I suppose I am, huh? Thank you," she murmured gently, pulling her keys out as she stepped through the door.
Sebastian followed close behind, attempting to flatten his mess of curls when Devon was looking the other way.
After closing and locking the door, Devon glanced up at Sebastian and smiled softly. She was very lucky to have him, and she wouldn't ever forget that…
"All right. Let's go pick up my giggly daughter," she chuckled, starting toward her car.
(skip to the daycare? not it)
(Layla is at her parents. Lol. But sure.)
Devon pulled into the driveway of her parents’ house and parked the car. She looked toward the door with a low sigh. “Okay… Do you want to come up with me? Or stay here?” she wondered softly, glancing over at Sebastian.
(Whoops)
“I’d be happy to come if you want me to,” he murmured, “But if you’d rather I didn’t, I can stay here.”
Devon chewed on her lip, looking back at the door. “I suppose you’ll meet them eventually… Better sooner than later, right?”
Sebastian offered a nod of agreement, but paused with his hand on the door, as if giving her a chance to reconsider before they both stepped out into the sunlight.
Devon took a deep breath before opening her door and stepping outside. She made her way to the front of the car and waited for Sebastian to join her, then stepped up to the front of the house with him.
Lifting her hand, she knocked twice, and the door swung open not long after. The woman who opened it looked the same as she had the last time Devon had brought Sebastian with, having the same hair and eyes and face shape as her daughter.
“Devon? Who is this?” she questioned, giving him a confused look.
(didn't they have Christmas dinner together? lol)
Sebastian rubbed anxiously at his wrist, but met the woman's eyes. "I'm Sebastian, ma'am, pleased to meet you."
(blinks Oh… Did they? Huh… I have a crappy memory, sorry. I don’t remember that at all…
Ah, frick. Now I remember. Dangit)
Realization lit up the woman’s face, and she smiled. “Sebastian! Of course. Sorry, dear, I can be forgetful sometimes. Would you two like to come in?”
“Oh, no, thanks, mom. We’re just here to pick up Layla,” Devon politely declined, giving her mother a small smile.
