Rowan kissed him back, eyes flickering shut again. "Alright." He replied simply, murmuring against Damian's mouth, loving and kind and soft. "I…I love you too." He added quietly, opening his eyes to look up at Damian to see how the other took this statement. He meant it. He really did, and he hoped…he didn't know what he hoped.

Damian’s heart fluttered as he heard those sweet words. He looked at Rowan, eyes wide with child-like wonder, for a few seconds, silent. Then a smile wider than the ocean bloomed on his face and he practically talked Rowan with his full weight so he could hug him tighter than ever. He pressed his lips against Rowan’s, parting his lips slightly too as both hands moved to bury themselves away in the male’s hair. I love you too. Damian hadn’t realized how much he wanted to hear those words until they were said aloud.

Rowan smiled into the kiss, arms tightening around Damian as he brought him closer, kissing him back earnestly, tugging Damian as close as he could, until their bodies were pressed together with hardly any space between them.
