Carmen sighed, slouched over her guitar. This song was going no where fast, and she had to get it done soon. She laid back on the mattress, closing her eyes in the cold space, shivering slightly. There was a knock on the door. "Always open!" She said, staying where she was.

Zyra slowly opened the door, peaking her head into the room and smiling brightly at Carmen. "Heyyy, we all kinda noticed that you look really tired and were wondering if you wanted to chill for a minute or two."
Carmen blinked. "I'm fine, Z, honest." She said, still staring at the ceiling. Mainly because she had a feeling that if she turned to look, she'd blush. "Thanks for the concern and all, but I just got one song I gotta get through…" She ran a hand through her short, choppy purple hair, brown eyes half closed. "Why can't song writing be easy?"
Zyra sighed before closing the door behind her and making her way towards Carmen, her dark brown eyes shining in the lighting. "Mind if I help you then? You said you only got one song left and I might be able to help."
"Fine…" She mumbled, sitting up and resettling her guitar in her lap, fixing her songbook. Open to a love song. She was actually pretty okay with death at the moment.
Zyra glanced at the song, her heart subconsciously skipping a beat as she glanced at Carmen. "You know, I wouldn't have left if you said no."
"I know, ya little shit." She said, smiling and reaching over to ruffle up the other girl's hair. Act normal… good job
Zyra's face flushed a bit when she ruffled her hair, but it wasn't visible because of her skin color as she smiled instead. "I get called a little shit for trying to make sure you stay sane?"
"You say that like I was ever sane." Carmen said, rolling her eyes fondly. "Dunno how to break the news, that I have no mind to lose~" She said, singing the old Ramones song.
Zyra chuckled. "All the girls are in love with me~ I'm a teenage lobotomy~" She continued with a smile as she rested her head in her hand.
Carmen smiled, fiddling around with her guitar a bit. "How did this shit come easily to Dee Dee?"
"Oh, I don't know, maybe because you sing that song everywhere?" Zyra asked with a chuckle, her heart beating irregularly. Act normal, act straight…Okay, cut out the straight part, you can never do that even though you're pan, just act normal.
"Yeah but like… that guy could bang out a few great songs in short amounts of time. I'd kill to be able to do that." She said, sighing. I'd also kill for other things, but I'm not talking about it-
"You don't have to kill, you're already able to do that," Zyra replied, trying to cheer up Carmen. "Should we go back to making the song?"
"Right, yeah, the song, right-" She said, shaking her head slightly to clear her mind. "Right- should I play what I have so far?"
"I would love that," Zyra replied, smiling at Carmen as she tried to clear her mind. Cute.
Carmen smiled, quietly playing the tune, singing softly.
Zyra listened attentively, crossing her arms and staring off into space as she listened.
