"Okay… thanks, I guess…" Lloyd accepted the water once Irene returned, taking a tentative sip.
Heyyyy //OxO// LGBTQ+???//CLOSED
"I don't want you to get dehydrated…" Irene sat back down on the couch and got comfortable. The whole time the movie had still been playing.
"Mm… I think you're a bit late for that, but thanks anyway." Lloyd took another sip of the water.
"Better late than never I guess." Irene was munching away at her bagel, almost finished with it.
Lloyd shrugged and set the water on the side table, putting his arm back into his blanket burrito.
Irene looked at her phone for the time. "Hmm, father should be at my mother's house by now… I'm going to text him." She texted, just to make sure everything was okay.
"Okay…" Lloyd yawned and kept watching the movie, getting cozy in his blanket burrito.
(Tbh I want to be in a blanket burrito rn)
On good, everything's okay… I wish mother was here right now… After a while, Irene fell asleep. It was normal for her to sleep during movies.
(Same)
Lloyd eventually fell asleep, still all bundled up in his blanket. Funnily enough, this actually seemed to be a relatively effective way to keep him from hurting himself.
Irene suddenly woke up to silence. Hmm, the movie must be over… and Lloyd is asleep, that's good… maybe I should try to go back to sleep…
Lloyd mumbled something unintelligible in his sleep, but was otherwise silent.
A light knock from the door echoed in the living room. Irene groaned as she got up and opened the door. "Erm hello, let me know if this is a bad time, but you said that you would come to the library and you could tutor me and just hang out, two hours ago… " Irene's eyes widened. "Oh my goodness! I apologize! Can we maybe do that another day? Something… important came up and I totally forgot." The girl at the door had a face of both sadness and annoyment. "Sure… I guess, just don't forget next time…" With that, she walked off. Irene closed the door and lied back down on the couch, letting out a sigh.
Lloyd had stirred at the knock and looked up. "Who was that…?" He asked, yawning. "Friend of yours?"
"Eh, not really. She needs a tutor so our English teacher recommended me for English. And I think she wants to be my friend, for some reason. I was supposed to do that with her at the library two hours ago… but it's okay."
"Oh, shit… Do you need to leave? Since when do you tutor people?" Lloyd asked curiously, looking up at Irene.
"Na, I rescheduled it for… some other time." Irene sat up so she could talk better. "Since never…" She laughed. "I was kinda forced into it. Believe me, if I wasn't forced I wouldn't be doing it."
"Who forced you?" Lloyd pulled his blanket tighter around himself.
"Well, of course, Mr. Jenosn who recommended me to… Sarah? Sally? I don't remember her name. Then my father said I should do it, so yeah."
"Mmm… I-I could help you, if you want. I skipped a grade and all, and I've considered tutoring, but I'm pretty sure most of the teachers don't know I'm in their class at all…"
"Oh yeah! I honestly forgot that you skipped a grade. But I'm going to try to get out of it. I mean I like helping people, but I'm not really interested in peer tutoring…" Irene stood up, went to the door and locked it. "I forgot to do that earlier, my father always has me lock the door when he's not home."
"Yeah… I mean, I'm a year younger than you and we're in the same grade. Either way, it's your choice. You don't have to do anything you don't want to."
"I should probably go through with it though…" Irene heard the AC turn on and felt the cold air. She wrapped herself in her blanket again.
"Alright." Lloyd huddled up as well and closed his eyes again.
"So do you want to do anything else today? Or do you want to keep watching movies and sleeping?"
"I dunno… if you have any other ideas I'm open to them." Lloyd turned his head towards Irene.
"Hmm… Do you want to go for a walk? It looked really nice earlier and you've been inside all day and night so far."
"Sure, if you want." Lloyd unraveled himself and stood up, smoothing down his hoodie.
"Okay, let's go!" Irene fought her way out of her blanket and stood up. She went over to the door and slipped on some shoes. "Oh, one second." She dashed upstairs and came back with her phone and a house key. "Now we can go."
"Alright…" Lloyd walked out with Irene, blinking in the bright sun. He subconsciously stayed close to her.
Irene shut and locked the door before she turned around and started walking down the street, noticing how close Lloyd was to her, but of course, she didn't mind.
