"Arg… I was hoping to win this round." Irene drew 4 cards and frantically looked through her cards for a blue one. She drew another, still no blue card.
Heyyyy //OxO// LGBTQ+???//CLOSED
Lloyd put down a blue seven and silently counted the number of cards in both his and Irene's hands.
Irene's face lit up. "Yes! I can play!" She placed down a yellow seven.
"Sorry…" Lloyd put down another blue seven.
"Awe man!" Irene smiled and drew another card, once again unable to play.
Lloyd put down a blue four and tapped his fingers on the ground to some beat that seemed to be stuck in his head.
Irene, once again, drew, this time able to put down her card, a blue 7.
Lloyd put down a yellow seven, now down to three cards.
Irene happily placed down a yellow skip. "Sorry about that…" She smiled and placed a yellow two.
Lloyd placed a blue two, glancing at his hand quietly.
"So, what song is in your head?" Irene frowned and placed down a blue 9.
Lloyd glanced up. "Just Irish folk songs… I've grown rather fond of them." He put down a wildcard and changed the color to red.
"Hmm, interesting." Irene smiled at the color change and put down a red 3.
Lloyd placed a red five on top of Irene's three. "Uno."
"Oh, my gosh! I have 5 cards still!" Irene placed down a green 5.
Lloyd drew another card. "Dos." He hummed softly.
Irene chuckled then put down a green 2.
Lloyd drew another card. "Tres." He yawned a bit, still tapping his fingers.
Irene smiled. "Now we both have the same amount of cards!" She placed down a blue 2.
Lloyd put down a reverse, then a blue six. "Uno again."
Irene placed a red 6. "Uno!!"
"Zero." Lloyd put down his red eight.
"Wow! You are really good at this. Between me and my father, I'm the champion but that's definitely not the case with you. So do you want to play again?"
"We can play whatever you feel like, honestly. I'm not very acquainted with board games." Lloyd collected all the cards together.
"Hmm, then we could play Monopoly or Clue!"
"Sure. Whichever you want to play is fine…" Lloyd put the cards back in their box and handed them to Irene.
Irene took the box of card and crawled out. "I like Clue better so let's play that!" She put Uno back into the pile and grabbed Clue. She went back into the fort and gave Lloyd the box again.
Lloyd read the instructions while Irene set up the game. "Seems more complicated than Uno…"
"It definitely is, but I bet you'll understand it soon enough…" Irene got the cards and put then in the special case, then delt the remaining ones to the two of them. "It will be easier with it being only the two of us."
"Alright." Lloyd looked at his cards and started crossing things off. "Would you like to start?"
