Tali had been stretching himself out with some morning yoga and was currently situated in an arm balance. He glanced at her when her voice reached his ears, a small curiosity written upon his face. He didn’t seem to notice the blood at first. “Who was that, if I’m allowed to ask?” The skin-stealer lowered himself down to the floor out of the pose, and just laid there, groaning.

When he finally laid his eyes fully onto her he froze, eyes wide and terrified. “Oh god! You need to lay down right now.”

"What I need is some milk and beans." Was Osora's simple and casual reply as she removed her mask, tossing it on the swivel chair as she limped to her closet. "And clean clothes. That was Shou. You'll meet him later, because I guarantee he's going to show up to chew my ass out." She shook her head slightly, carefully pulling off her hoodie, revealing a black sports bra and more gashes. Not to mention the scars littering her skin already.

Tali blushed a little, trying to peel his eyes off of the gashes. He managed to turn his head, eyes squeezed shut so he wasn’t looking at so much of her skin. “We need to get you cleaned up. Can I help you with those…?” He asked carefully, shivering softly. She looked like she was in so much pain. “Please let me help.”

@croccin-champagne

"First aid kit under the desk. It's got the stitching equipment, and until I can eat something with iron, I'll need those to keep from losing any more blood." Osora dug around, pulling out the towel she usually kept in her room for these occasions. Her first aid kit was also overprepared, full of enough things to rival a walk in clinic when it came to emergencies.

He sighed deeply and walked over to her, taking the first aid kit from her and opening it. Tali sighed softly and took her arm gently, studying the cuts. “Want me to get Maki to get you something?” He asked softly as he studied her wounds. “God Toki. Be careful.”

@croccin-champagne

“Give him a holler if you want, I’ll be fine for a bit.” Osora said with a shrug, leading him back over to the tables and pushing her mask off the chair before sitting down heavily. “Being careful wasn’t really the main thing on my mind. It’s fine, I’m a few hours it’ll be more a dull pain than it is now.”

He nodded and moved to the door, he called for Maki quickly, asking to bring something with iron in it.

Tali slipped back to her side, cupping her face to study it. “Mm you really need to keep yourself safe too, you know. Your poor face is so pale.”

@croccin-champagne

She blinked up at him, her ballerina’s posture dropping as she slumped slightly. “Am I really that pale, or are you just being dramatic.” Osora asked, raising an eyebrow just slightly at him. She looked exhausted, like all the sleep she’d gotten had disappeared with whatever it was she had been doing.

“I’m not going to sugar coat it, you look awful.” He said sternly, his eyebrows furrowed in worry. “What the hell were you doing?” The male began to wander around, collecting things to help her. He grabbed a wet hand towel and returned to gently clean up the area around her wounds. “God… you’re not doing anything today, Alright? Rest.”

@croccin-champagne

"I have things to do, Tali. I don't have time for rest." Osora stated, shifting to allow him better access to one of the gashes on her side. "And it's better if you don't know. Safer for you." Her voice dropped on the last part, softening slightly as she looked to the window she had just come in. "It's caused too many issues for people I care about."

(Sorry for the wait I promise I’m trying to get everything done and get up my character soon. My aunt Kate died of her cancer a few nights ago so I’m trying to get everything sorted in time for her funeral.)

“You are going to rest. I’ll do whatever you need to do. Chores? Errands? I’ll go for you.” He murmured, gently nudging her arm out of the way. “Which ones need the most immediate attention?” He asked softly.

@croccin-champagne

((Dude, no, don’t even worry about it. Focus on that stuff, I get you))

“Cuts or responsibilities?” She asked, tapping a long and deep looking cut on her ribs. “I have to go to the police station.” She did, conveniently, leave out which station and where. “And this happens often enough that I cat let it affect my productivity.”

(I'm sorry again. I really am trying.)

"Cuts." He replied, taking her wrist and guiding her hand to his shoulder. "Keep your arm up while I work on this." He mumbled as a side comment, grabbing the stitches and getting to work. He knew how to treat things like this. He spent a long time training for these kind of things. The shrine owners and monks believed that if Tali learned things that could help people, he wouldn't turn out evil. "It shouldn't be that way, Toki. Take care of yourself. I don't want to lose you."

@croccin-champagne

“It takes more than a few cuts to knock me out of the game. Don’t worry.” Osora’s grip on his shoulder was a bit tighter than it should have been, wavering occasionally as her arm shook slightly. She kept her breathing fairly steady though, even while he was sewing her skin back together.

((Don’t be! Take your time, focus on more important things))

(Thank you.)

He didn’t seem to mind the grip, working on stitching her up steadily. However, the skin under her hand seemed to wave and slither for a moment, extra muscle suddenly being added there as a cushion for his bony shoulders.

Once he had finished that cut he went to the next, sighing deeply. “How does that all feel? Are you going to be alright?”

@croccin-champagne

“I’m going to be fine, Tali.” She said, her face flickering for just a moment as he brushed a piece of what looked like glass in her skin. In fact, up close and with time, one would notice that the gashes in her skin and clothes looked like they’d originated both from a blade and from glass, the latter of which was in fact scattered about, stuck in the fabric of her clothing and the gashes as well, on occasion. “Just a bit sore.”

He grabbed the tweezers from the kit and pulled out the shards he could find, cleaning each wound before he sealed them up. “I’ll get you some pain meds or something. You can relax. I can help you for today.” He murmured kindly, pressing a gentle kiss to her head.

@croccin-champagne

“I don’t need to relax-“

“Yo! Sorry it took so long, I had to get some milk from Reeha’s mom because you managed to drink all of it after last time-“ Maki’s voice sounded before he was even pushing open the door, but then he was there, a plastic grocery bag in one hand and a carton of milk in the other. “But anyway, post-justice recovery kit at your service. Oh, hey Tali…”

Tali had opened his mouth to retort but was interrupted by Maki. He smiled stupidly at the boy, rolling his eyes and laughing. “Don’t sound so surprised and put off that I’m still here.” He mused, returning to Toki’s wounds. He was having trouble with a particular glass shard that scared him a little. It was larger than the rest, and looked painful. He didn’t want to cut her even more.

Once it was removed he quickly cleaned out the area around and grimaced. “Get Toki to relax today. And to eat whatever you brought.”

@croccin-champagne

“I’m not worried about the eating part, just the relaxing.” Was Maki’s response, as he set the bag of food items and the milk on the tables. “She’s a pain in the ass to get to sit still. I’m surprised she’s even staying still long enough for you to mess with her injuries.” His eyes swept over his sister for a moment, checking over her injuries. “Have you checked her-“

“Maki.” Osora didn’t say anything but his name, face impassive but somehow not at the same time. Her knee was fine. She could mend the shattered bone once she had enough energy.

“Checked her what?” He asked, his brows furrowing. The male paused, a bloodied hand towel in one hand and the needle and stitches in the other. “Toki, check your what? Tell me now.” He said firmly, setting the items down to let her know how serious he was about it.

@croccin-champagne

“Nothing.” Osora said, meeting his gaze. Her blood red eyes gave nothing away unless one looked carefully, unless Tali specifically did. Lying to him, for whatever reason, was different and oddly more difficult. “Maki’s asking about the likelihood of fiberglass in my clothing.”

(Sorry had a homework thing)

Tali bit his lip and looked over her face. “Are you sure? I’m here to help, Toki..” He murmured gently, taking her hand in his and smiling softly at her.

@croccin-champagne

“Yes, I’m sure. You shouldn’t worry.” Osora said, her eyes flickering away for a moment to gather the strength to keep lying.

Maki shifted uncomfortably, looking between the two as though he was trying not to say anything. Then he groaned. “Her knee. It’s—she’s lying, her knee looks busted to hell and back.”

@Toxic_Persephone group

The clueless Tali froze, staring at Maki for a long time. When his eyes finally peeled off the boy, they went straight to her knee. It did look broken. He cursed at himself for not noticing it sooner. “God I’m sorry I’m so dense and dumb. We’re going to get this fixed up now, Toki.” He shot, staring at her knee for a moment. He carefully lifted her leg so he could see the knee better, frowning deeply. “What did you do?”

@croccin-champagne

“You better watch your back, kid.” Osora said, about to say more before having to stop as Tali lifted her leg. “I would really appreciate if you would put it down. Crowbars don’t make my knee happy, I found, especially when they’re bludgeoning it.”

“We need more milk.” Maki muttered, turning back towards the door. “And, uh. Sorry Toki. But you need to start letting people help you.” With that, he was gone, leaving Osora and Tali alone.

(Okay life has evened out. I'll have the character profile done either tonight or tomorrow.)

Tali flashed her a look. "I'm looking Toki, let me help you. I've never worked with a shattered knee… I'm not sure what to do about it and it's stressing me, even more so now that you won't let me help you." He murmured, chewing on his lip and slowly letting her leg down. "Here, eat and drink whatever he brought. Can you heal yourself soon?"

@croccin-champagne

Osora was quiet for a moment, looking at a spot on the wall instead of at Tali. "It hurts when you lift it." She finally admitted, her voice a bit quieter than normal as she did so. It was something she didn't ever do, admitting to being in pain. "And I can, if I drink enough milk and regain some energy. I'll be fine then. It'll be hard to walk for a bit, but…crowbar to the knee doesn't have an easy fix."

@Toxic_Persephone group

He nodded gently, moving to grab his own blanket. "Here, you need something to place under that leg." He murmured gently, offering the blanket to her with a small smile. "I'll do as much as I can to help you, Toki." He took up the milk Maki had brought and offered it to her. "Drink. I'll work on the cuts and slashes for now." He commanded, very carefully picking the needle back up, returning to another slash across her side.

@croccin-champagne

"Tali, don't-I don't want you to think you have to do any of this." Osora said, resting the blanket on her lap instead of using it to prop her leg up. "I can manage on my own just fine. In fact, I have, on multiple occasions." She shook her head, opening the carton of milk and chugging half of it in record time.
