A light blush dusted her features as well, though obviously not as bright as his. Fairly expressionless as always, it was slightly odd, but the blush itself was almost kind of cute. "Would you-Tali, don't cover your face, please. It's fine. I enjoyed kissing you, and I think it's endearing to see you so flustered." She said, keeping her voice soft so as not to disturb anyone.

That only seemed to fluster him more. She was too cute for his brain to handle. The mask was slowly removed, laid down at his side once again. “I-I don’t know why I’m so flustered. You just make this way.” He huffed. “I haven’t had anyone who could do this to me in this way. I don’t know how to act.”

@croccin-champagne

She huffed a sound somewhere between her normal laugh and a sigh, reaching up to cup his face with her hands. "You'd think you'd never kissed a girl before, honestly." She commented, shaking her head slightly as she leaned a bit closer. "Just be Tali. That's all either of us needs, that's the only way to act." Leaning in even more, she pressed a kiss to his cheek, just a bit too close to the corner of his mouth.

He gasped. “I have too kissed a girl before! And some guys. I’m a very experienced kisser.” He pouted. But his defense soon dropped, her so close to his face did that to him. “Tali doesn’t even know how the real Tali acts.” He murmured softly, shivering at the light kiss. She smells so good…

@croccin-champagne

"If you're such an experienced kisser, then why are you acting like a fifteen year old boy receiving a kiss on the cheek from his crush?" She murmured against the corner of his mouth questioningly. "You'll figure out how the real Tali acts, eventually. We all have our troubles figuring ourselves out."

“I’ve never felt this way, Toki…” his hands found her arms, gently squeezing them. His head felt fuzzy, and his body burned from her touch. “I’ve never met someone who could make my emptiness not as bad. Yes it’s cheesy as hell but you do it. Thank you Toki. I want to hang around with you, and let you help me find myself.”

@croccin-champagne

"I would love to help you find yourself." She said, the corner of her mouth quirking up slightly. "It's not easy, but it's easier than you'd think it would be. And I'm glad I can ease that emptiness. I know what it's like to feel empty, and I know filling that empty space is hard."

Tali’s face contorted into a pained expression. He was trying hard not to break down in front of her. And he was trying a little too hard to not kiss her right at that moment. “It’s so hard… I’ve tried. With countless people of countless situations and powers and genders…” he gasped out. “But none have been so beautiful and kind as you.”

@croccin-champagne

"So stop trying to fill it with other things and other people." Osora said, pulling back a bit to look up at him. "And don't try to fill it with me, because I don't want to watch you realize it won't work. The only one who can fill that emptiness is you, Tali. Nobody else. You, as you realize who you are and you learn to love yourself. Like I've said, it's not easy, but it's possible."

Tali buried his face in the crook of her neck, failing miserably to hold back his tears. They streamed silently down his face and onto her skin and clothes. He hated himself for this. For being so vulnerable and so weak. For needing those exact words. “Goddamn you…” he whimpered. “You’re too perfect.”

@croccin-champagne

"I'm absolutely not perfect." Osora murmured softly, moving her arms down to wrap around him, rubbing soothing circles into his back. "But that's alright. That's what makes it okay. You have to accept those parts of you that aren't perfect. Did you know that my mother can't have the burner on too high, or the flame sends me into a panic? Maki burnt toast once and I couldn't leave my room for three hours. No amount of work and dedication ever managed to make it so I could pass math classes in primary through secondary school. The first time I tried bubblegum, I threw up, and still can't eat it. People aren't perfect, but that's okay."

“Flaws… I have flaws too.” He let out a strained laugh, choking on his air. “I give away myself in order to feel something… I absolutely loathe the smell of pineapple. It makes me sick to my stomach… avocados taste like pine cones to me and I-“ he paused, tangling his fingers in her hair. “I hate the body I came in.” It felt so good to let that out. To finally say it out loud.

Tali was definitely going to regret it all in the morning, but in the moment he felt he needed to tell her. He wanted her trust. He pulled his face away from her neck and pressed another kiss to her lips, craving her taste.

@croccin-champagne

Vaguely of toothpaste, the faint saltiness of tears, and mostly the cherry limeade chapstick Ren had bought her last week. Those were the mingling tastes on her lips.

I know you hate the body you came in. Osora thought to herself, her hold on him tightening. "I want to help you realize you don't have to." These words she spoke aloud, before pressing just a bit harder into the kiss than she had last time, as though trying to show him that she was serious.

“Please… help me Toki.” Tali kissed her as if he had been starved of her taste, his hands tangled lovingly in her hair. His heart was beating a million miles per hour in his chest, threatening to explode if he didn’t calm it soon.

Tali pulled back before things could get any further, smiling down at the woman he had fallen for. “I’ll save the better kisses after our first date~” he teased, wiping the tears from his face.

@croccin-champagne

Osora snorted, releasing him from the hug to reach up, helping gently wipe away his tears. "Then I look forward to that. And Tali, don't worry. I'll do my best to help you every way I can. I've been told I've got a bit of a bleeding heart on occasion."

He chuckled lightly and carefully adjusted himself. “I have a bleeding heart too.” He admitted. “I’m a bit of a sucker for those with issues.” His eyes lowered, an awkward air around him.

It took him a long time to speak again, his hand idly playing with the ring once more. “Ah. Now I’m embarrassed.” He finally spoke, flashing a forced grin. “I let myself open right up to you huh? Sorry for dumping it all on you.”

@croccin-champagne

"I don't have many rules, but that's one of them." She said quietly, fingers still moving over his face. "Never apologize for needing to talk to someone. You can't bottle everything up forever, Tali." It was such a hypocritical thing for her to say, and yet, here she was.

He leaned into her touch, smiling at her. “I bottle everything up. Mostly because I don’t have anyone to talk to about this kind of thing. But now I have the pretty and beautiful Toki to talk to! And I’m thankful for that.” He really was just a sucker for her. “You’re my favorite of all the people I’ve met. And that’s a lot of people.” He joked, trying to play off his openness and vulnerability with a good nature.

@croccin-champagne

"I'm really your favorite?" She asked, allowing the subject change and lighter tone. "Out of all the many people you've met, me?" She raised an eyebrow at that, pausing one hand to cup his cheek while the other traced his features. "I highly doubt that."

group
@Toxic_Persephone group

“Of course you are.” He beamed, his own hand sliding up to gently take one of her’s. “I’ve never had a real ‘care giver’ in my life, so that rules out that, no family, no lasting friends… so I’d say currently you’re my favorite.” He laughed goodheartedly, as if what he had just said was a problem everyone faced. “Alright well, I guess I could count the older woman who lived above me in my apartment in America as a friend… she let me come over and play with her cats. But you’re still my favorite.”

@croccin-champagne

"I've got a cat too." She pointed out playfully, linking her fingers through his. "So I can match that bit, though I don't have multiple." Leaning forward, she pressed her forehead lightly to his, breath mingling with his as she met his eyes. "Let's hope we can get you some lasting friends. Those are always good to have."

group
@Toxic_Persephone group

He snorted, trying to hide his laugh. “Multiple would make you a cat woman.” He noted, laughing. “She had four or five.” Tali’s face relaxed as he drew her closer. “Of course. They sound like they are good to have.” He let out a breathy laugh, gently playing with her hair once more.

@croccin-champagne

"That is a lot of cats." She said, her eyes sparkling with the laughter she couldn't show. "And they are. I've got a few of them myself, and I would do anything for them. And sadly, I know they would do the same for me. Even if I told them not to." The way she said that made it obvious there was more there, but she spoke of it lightly.

“I loved them all. There was Aloe, Snickers, Spritz, and two twin kittens named Milo and Mabel.” He hummed, remembering them well. “Mm it’s alright. They may be reckless but they do it out of love.” He commented.

@croccin-champagne

"They sound like amazing cats. Makes me want to get Poe a friend. Though, if we were ever to run away and travel, like we were joking about earlier, I'd want to take him with. And two cats might be too many on any trip." She mused, leaning into his touch slightly. "They're all idiots. Love is no reason to get yourself killed." You say that like that isn't the exact reason you've faced so many near-death experiences.

group
@Toxic_Persephone group

“Mm just a little too much. One cat is good for traveling.” He hummed, pressing a kiss to her nose playfully. “Ah, love is a great thing to defend and die for. It’s quite a noble thing.” He replied with a soft smile.

@croccin-champagne

"Glad you agree." Her eyes closed gently as he kissed her nose, opening again once he had removed his lips from her skin. "It's a stupid thing to die for. Defending, I can get behind, but to die? And leave behind those you love and that love you?"

group
@Toxic_Persephone group

Tali cupped her face and sighed softly. “I think it’s not the best way to go, but it’s still noble…” he murmured. “Especially to those who can’t love.”

@croccin-champagne

"Is being noble really worth it though?" Osora asked, letting out a small and happy hum when he cupped her face. "And if you're insinuating that you can't love, I have every intention of proving you wrong however I have to."

group
@Toxic_Persephone group

“That’s a good question. It’s up to the person.” He replied softly. He smiled at her and rolled his eyes. “Of course I’m talking about me. But I’m pretty sure I can fall in love, just not… keep it.”
