She nodded, wrote down her address and her phone number, and handed it to Raven. Evelyn walked into her 3 story house, 5 stories in total including the attic and basement. She had 16 adoptive siblings, and 2 parents. So it was always fun crazy hell at her house. She had an apartment up town, but she felt like going home home today. Back to family.
I hate you...or DO I?
Raven took it gratefully and waved goodbye running out the door. "Dang- didn't know she lived in the big house." He chuckled sprinting to the familiar address.
She went inside, and was welcomed by sounds of screaming, and tackle hugs. Bikes, scooters, and lawn games, and a LOT of nerf guns lay strewn all over the lawn. The front door was sidelined by a couch, which then flowed into the kitchen. Off to the right of the couch was the stairs, leading upstairs. There was a huge picture window, and in said window was a piano, which had plants and a simaese tabby cat mix sleeping on top of it. "Hi there Precious." She pet the cat, and tried to make her way inside, which was hard with 2 brothers sitting on her feet, one per foot. "FEE FI FO FUM, I SMELL-bubblegum?" She shrugged, and made her way slowly to the kitchen, and hugged her mom. "Ohhh I see. Confetti cake." Crystal nodded. "For someones special birthday dear." She tapped Evelyn's nose. "Oh hey yeah, me and Evan's birthday is coming up soon isn't it?" "Well yes, but I'm saying your fathers. It's tomorrow." "Oh. Okay." She sighed and made her way to the couch, and soon was playing mario kart, enjoying the loud noises, crashes, bangs, and sounds of french singing from her mother in the kitchen. It was all very welcome and homey to her.
Raven made it to her house in no time (Being able to fly and all that jazz) he came to the door with a smile. He knocked on it and waited for Evelyn.
He was not greeted by Evelyn. He was greeted by siblings. "MAMA THERE'S A STRANGER AT THE DOOR!" One of them screeched. Evelyn was to used to stuff like this to bother even looking whose there. Crystal came forth. She had red hair, and green eyes, freckles across her nose. But gone was her thin spindly graceful figure. Instead she had a more stocky, tough, but motherly look to her as she came to the door. "Why hello there dear, and who might you be? And who are you here to see?"
"I am looking for Evelyn? My name is Raven." He smiled softly with a happy look about him. "If I've got the wrong address I can take my leave."
"And what business do you have with my daughter, Raven?" She asked, as Evelyn's hand popped up from the couch, gave a vague wave at you, and her hand returned back to the X-Box controller. Her twin brother sat next to her, and they both were neck and neck at first place, and were doing everything they could to be first.
"I vististed her in the hospital, she wasn't there today so I wanted to check up on her." He said still smiling.
She raised an eyebrow, and sighed, leaning over the couch. "Evelyn dear, yet another lover has come a-courting for you." "Not now mo-DID YOU JUST FUCKING BANANA ME! ARE YOU KIDDING! YOU DIRTY CHEAT!" Evan only laughed. "That's what you get sis for smashing me into that building." "I only smashed you into that building because I was trying to avoid the turtle shell that YOU threw!" An arguent was brewing as they furiously worked the controllers. Once Evan had crossed the finish line, in first place, Evelyn tackled him to the couch, and a fight had broken out, just like that. No wonder she was in the hospital so much.
Raven chuckled. "She knows me, once she's done with this maybe she'll come greet me." He laughed. "But until then- I can wait."
Crystal sighed. "Come, sit in the kitchen. May I interest you in some tea, coffee? Evelyn, no hitting your brother with cleats or other hard objects, only pillows." She made her way to the kitchen. The kitchen had herbs hanging to dry from the ceiling, and pots and pans hanging right above the center island. A black pitbull named Shadow lay under the table, hoping to get table scraps. There was a glass back door, and outside was a huge oak tree with a tree house, and a vegetable garden to the left side of the lawn, and all the way on the other right side was the fruit garden. More toys, barbies and trucks and cardboard boxes were outback.
(OOF I'M SO SORRY!!)
"Coffee if you wouldn't mind." He smiled running a hand through his fluffy hair. "You have a lovely home." He hummed.
"Why thank you dear. I try to keep it that way, though the gods know how hard that is-EVELYN PUT THAT DOWN! It's good to let them have their fights as long as no one gets seriously hurt." She then pours him a cup of coffee, and sets down next to the cup, creamer and a thing of sugar, and a spoon. "Now then, why have you come to see my darling daughter?" She asked kindly as she sat down at the table across from you, sewing up some ripped clothes and such.
"I- well…" He bit his lip and put some sweetener in the coffee. He stirred it slowly and looked at her. "Well, me and her seem to have kind of…hit it off as you would say. I was mostly stopping by to see how she was doing." He said softly hoping he wouldn't get yelled at.
"Ah, another lover of hers. I hope you are willing to handle…all of her." She nods, as she continues to darn a sock. Evelyn got up and hopped into Ravens lap, giving him a hug. "Protect me he's got a plastic baseball bat!" "Evan put it down, you're going to break something!" Evan groaned and came over, bonking his sister on the head, then opened the screen door and threw it outside. "Rematch sis?" "Naw. I got lover boy here." She then kissed Ravens cheek. "Alright sis, just don't get too attached." He then walked away.
"Hey Ev!" He chirped smiling. He set the coffee aside and picked her up by the waist throwing her over his shoulder. He stood carrying her to the living room with a smile flipping her over the edge of the couch. "How you feeling Wonder Kid?" He asked pecking her lips.
"Well, I have a headache, so quit swingin' me around like a ragdoll." She lay there smiling up at him. "And go get you're coffee, bug eyes." She said as she stretched out on the couch, taking up the whole couch.
"Alright pussy cat. Don't murder anyone." He smiled walking back into the kitchen to grab his mug. He did so and came back to the couch.
She made sure she covered up the whole thing, and looked up at him. "Whaaaaat?"
"What, what?" He asked sitting on a chair crossing his legs to drink his coffee.
"Cmon, no snuggles for poor ol' injured me?" She asked as she sat up and hugged a pillow.
"You took up the couch." He chuckled sipping the coffee:
"Doesn't mean you couldn't make me move or just sit on me till I get up." She retorted back.
"Well I didn't want to hurt you more then I have." He sighed standing up.
"I guess. But I can take it, I assure you. With 15 other siblings, if you don't get sent to the hospital at least once for something really stupid, than you're part of the wrong family."
He plopped down beside her. "Guess I'm not part of the family." He chuckled nuzzling his nose into her hair.
"Not yet anyways." She had a short pixie cut, not long enough at nuzzling as his nose buried into her neck. She smiled and pulled him close, giggling a bit. "Hey, just don't kiss me on the neck, yeah? Not yet anyways."
"Does it bother you?" He asked pulling away.
"No, it turns me on." She said shyly, looking away.
"Oooooh." He chuckled kissing her head. "Then I'll be careful."
