"A poets name. I like it." She said with a grin, slapping his arm a bit. "Jeeze, don't be so stuck up."
I hate you...or DO I?
"You just assumed my name was going to be nerdy." He said poking her stomach. "Your's is pretty. Happy?"
She winced. "Ah hey watch the sides! They're all sore. And hey, I'm supposed to be rivals with you. Cheap, low shots are sorta ma job." She shrugs with a grin, then she slowly sat up, and gave him a light hug. "Thank ya though. For…saving me and all that." She settled back into the hospital bed, smiling up at him, her hand slipping back into his soft grip. "Anyways no I'm not happy. A poets name should have some loving, poetic response. A romantics response. But. I'll take it."
"I was never good at poetry." He chuckled lowly and gave her a soft smile. "The most romantic thing I know is love songs. My ex use to sing them all the time. She was sweet." He nodded feeling a grim expression grow on his face.
"Ah!" She clapped her hands in a certain rhythm. "I'd open that window over there if I were you." As soon as it was open, ,in flew in her guitar into her lap. She opened up the case and sat up, piling up the pillows behind her, and set down the case as she drew out a soft yellow wood guitar, and strummed it. "This is Olivia. My electric is Roxanne. I've been playing for what, 14 years? Maybe a few more…" She shrugs and began to play You Are My Sunshine, humming a bit. "Music is my expertise."
"Oh gosh- I don't sing." He said sternly. "Not for anyone, especially you." He shuddered crossing his arms. He gave her a stern look. "Nobody has ever heard me sing."
"I bet it's deep and smooth and savory. Like dark chocolate and caramel." She switched to Blackbird by The Beatles. "A handsome voice, like how you speak. Deep, mysterious but still caring. Your voice surrounds people, it's like you hug people with your words."
"Gosh, you should be the poet." He loosened his expression with a smile. "Though personally I wouldn't say it was super deep." Raven shrugged sitting on the edge of her bed.
"You play anything?" She asked, leaning on him a bit. "And alright, I like milk chocolate better anyways." She nudged you with a smile, a certain twinkle in her eye.
He thought for a minute. "The drums in highschool. Still do on occasion." He nodded smiling at her nudge.
"Ya know? Maybe we outta work together. We may have different morals but we sure do make a great team." She said with a shrug, looking away. She was actually blushing really badly.
"With you making fun of me all the time… sure a great team…" He sighed rubbing his face. "Besides, you'll be here for awhile anyways, I need to do our job while you're gone. You gotta heal fast they'll catch on eventually." He chuckled nudging her.
"Hey, nothing like a little teasing to get you pumped. And he said a few days. PROBABLY less then a week. I'm a fast healer and I'm here like, every week almost." She was still blushing. "Whaddya say? You can lead and I'm the lovable sidekick. Huh? I won't get in the way, and cause TOO much trouble. Unless your plan is stupid." She shrugs and smiles.
"Then gosh- you'll never be out of my way." He laughed rubbing his face. "But you'd make for a loveable sidekick."
She blushed at that. "Really? Aw thank ya." She giggled. She frickin' giggled. That twinkle in her eyes brightened as she gave you a hug. "Well depends. I mean I'm not very sensible so almost ANY plan is better than mine. As long as you can take really bad jokes and the general healthy dose of chaos we'll be fine."
"I mean what is considered healthy in your head?" He asked rubbing her shoulder in the hug. He tried to be comforting- without even trying to be. "Because you're all the chaos I need."
She squeaked at that point and looked away. "Stop that you charmer. And honestly, healthy means nothing to me." (Gotta head to bed, talk tomorrow!)
(Okie dokie! I should do the same XDD)
"Charmer? I'd say that the least." He chuckled laying back on the bed. "Maybe polite-ish and impulsive, that sounds better." He nodded to himself.
She shrugged. "You're definitely a smooth talker for sure. Know how to charm me at least." She said, nudging him, scooting over on the hospital bed so he had more room.
"We'll just agree to disagree." He yawned sitting back up. "You don't have to move, I was fine."
"Just making room. Though are ya just gonna stay here all day?" She asked, looking at him.
"I can't even if I'd really like to. I'll come check on you though." He smiled booping her nose. "I promise."
She giggled at that. "Aww alright. I'll miss ya, bug eyes. Don't worry I'll be outta here before you know it." She said with a determined tone to her voice. "Back in action, only to be back here next week."
"Maybe we shouldn't do that." He chuckled. Raven stood and leaned over kissing her cheek. "Get better and stay safe." He mumbled walking away through the door.
She blushed. "HEY WAIT! What's all this flirting and kissin' supposed to mean! Got a crush on me or somethin'?" She asked, arms crossed, full of sass and accusation.
He stuck his head back in the door. He raised a brow. "No- it's a form of comfort in my opinion." He shrugged stepping back in the room. He leaned on the door frame with a small smile. "You need to take a chill pill miss sassy pants."
"Ah no. Comfort is like a hug and get well card. Not booping and getting into bed next to me." She said, rolling her eyes. "Jeeze." She then stuck her tongue out.
"It's my form of comfort." He sighed rubbing his face. "That is what I find comforting and how I show it. I'm sorry it bothers you." He mumbled watching her again.
"No it don't bother me none, not at all. Just making sure you got your head screwed on better than mine. I'm unlovable, wanted to make sure you didn't make the mistake of falling for me." She nods once. "Now go on, git outta here."
He gave her a concerned look not wanting to talk about her love life. He did feel bad though. "I-I'll be back later. Don't over do yourself." He said softly before walking out.
