"Ha! You wish." She then settled into the bed, laying back down, and fell asleep almost instantly. She slept long into the day, throughout the morning, and at about noon she woke up for lunch. She hated hospital food, but ate it nonetheless, and hugged her pillow afterwards, deciding to just go back to sleep.
I hate you...or DO I?
Raven had come back and pushed the door open softly. But she seemed to be asleep. He smiled and walked in fully setting some flowers and an unsigned card on the bedside table beside her before slipping back out the door and down the stairs.
She stirred in her sleep and looked at the flowers. "Roses! My favorite." She grabbed them and hugged the vase, breathing in the smell deeply. "That reminds me I need to get more rose perfume." She then set them down, and read the card. "Wonder who se-I bet it was bug eyes. No one else visits me in the hospital, besides my brother and mom, and they don't know I'm here." She smiled, and found some scissors in one of the drawers next to her, cut off all the thorns, and began to make a flower crown, humming softly.
Raven was out of uniform walking around town. He hummed softly still able to see the hospital. He smiled softly looking up to the room he assumed was hers. "She knows." He sighed with hand in his pockets. "Of course she does. Who else would send her flowers?" He laughed at himself.
She got up from the bed, and looked out the window, now wearing the crown. She didn't recognize him though out of suit, and just waved to the general public, but soon her eyes turned to the autumn leaves, watching the gorgeous red and yellows, illuminated by the sun, her eyes glittering as she looked around, and then turned away and went back to bed.
He pulled a hood over his hair and came onto a darker street. He knew it was stupid, but he wanted to go to the special bakery to pick up something for him and Evelyn. He hummed softly staying in the lightest part of the street.
She now was back to playing guitar, humming a bit as she worked on her newest song, drumming on the base, enjoying herself immensely.
He looked around cautiously but calmly. He noticed men gathering up, so he quickened his pace. He pushed his way in the store and looked around at the desserts.
She was oblivious to the world, as she began to sing quietly, music pouring out of her, lost in the moment.
Raven got what he needed and quickly made his way out of the alley. He heard the steps of people following him so he did the most logical thing he could think of. He picked up his phone and dialed a random number.
Evelyn, does not have Ravens number so her phone did not go off. And even if it did, it was at her house charging. So she just kept jamming, since she had nothing else to do. She got bored of it eventually, and turned on the frickin power puff girls.
Someone had picked up and he started talking to them in a super chill conversation. "Yeah man that sounds great." He nodded noticing the men backing off some. "Dropping some stuff off for Lizzy at her house." He nodded making it to the hospital. "First visiting my sister at the hospital. Yeah I'll talk to you later. Bye." He said hanging up and walking through the front door of the hospital heading to Evelyn's room.
Evelyn had returned to her gentle guitar playing, not jamming out as much. She mostly just hugged it since it was the only thing of comfort she COULD hold. Maybe not the best thing to hug but oh well.
He knocked on the door awkwardly trying not to drop the box. "Ev it's me." He called.
She got up, opened the door, and got back into bed. "I smell food. Food that isn't disgusting." She put away her guitar, the flower crown precariously balanced on her head as she sat up, and smiled at you. "Thanks for the flowers by the way."
He chuckled. "Welcome, I brought pastries." He grinned holding up the box. He set them down and pulled off his hood. At this point he had forgotten he wasn't in costume so his face was exposed.
She dug into a cupcake, and looked up at his face, and nearly dropped it. "Holy shit he's hot…" She muttered to herself while studying him. "Wait-I just said that out loud didn't I? Oh well. Tis the life of a crazy person" She took another bite, and went back to watching her cartoons, humming a bit in pure enjoyment.
He gave her a strange look, then looked back at what he was wearing. "Dang it!" He groaned rubbing his face. "There goes secret identities."
"Excuse me? You've been able to see my face this whole time. Jeeze are you bad at this." She giggled a bit. "But, thank you for the food." She said with a grin. "You sure you don't like me?" She asked as she grabbed a doughnut, jelly filled with white frosting, and took a bite.
"Well I mean sure I like you. But not like that. I don't go into sketchy parts of town for just anyone's you know." He shrugged picking up a doughnut himself.
"Well then why do it for me, buggy?" She asked, taking another bite.
He ate the doughnut with a smug look. "Because if you're gonna be my partner it only seems fair."
"Whaddya mean by that?" She asked, all confused as she curled up on the bed on her side, looking at you.
"You wanted to be my partner right?" He asked sitting on the bed.
"Yeah?" She said, still confused, looking up at him. 'Why do I want to kiss him?' She thought to herself as she studied his face. Her mouth was crusted with doughnut crumbs, and her hair was a mess. She was honestly pretty adorable.
Raven picked up a napkin and wiped his own mouth. "Well then I need you to get feeling better and these pastries are amazing." He chuckled handing her a napkin.
She didn't take it, pushing his hand away. "Ah yes, because fatty foods is gonna make me healthy and fit for when I get outta here, whaddya do put magical healing stuff in em?" She grabbed the box. "Don't take them away, hospital food is NASTY." She finished off the doughnut and ate another cupcake.
(I got a kitten!!)
(AWWW LUCKY! I'm happy for ya!)
"No, but it's delicious." he chuckled picking up a cupcake. He took a bite out of it getting frosting on his lips and nose.
