"Oh, I'm sorry, that… that sucks. So… where are you staying now?" She hoped she wasn't prying. "I'm in an inn not far from here, though I don't think I'll be staying here much longer."

"Right now? I'm camping out in the woods. Saves money, and-" Daniel smiled again, no longer looking sad, "-the stars are absolutely beautiful here."

"They are," she agreed. "They must be nicer in the woods than in the city. I guess I should go out there sometime." She smiled, thinking of the sky.

"It is," Daniel said, nodding. "I could show you~"

"Really?" Caenya set down her drink. "That would be… amazing. Thank you."

"We'll go after we're done here," Daniel said, a half promise, half statement.

"Sounds great!" And she drained the last few sips of her glass.

Daniel finished his drink, smirking still. He felt a bit tipsy, but he wasn't drunk yet.
"Just tell me when you're ready," he said.

Caenya ordered two shots from the bartender. "One for the road?" She passed one to Daniel, and picked up hers. She clinked her glass against his and drank it quickly. "Ready!"

Daniel downed the drink in one go.
"Then let's get going." He stood, offering his hand to Caenya.

Caenya took his hand without hesitation. She swayed a bit when she started walking; the alcohol was messing with her brain, but she didn't mind. They left the tavern and walked hand in hand down a slightly busy road.
"So about how far do we have to go?" she wondered aloud.

"Just past the wall," Daniel said. He helped to keep Caenya upright as they walked, weaving through the small crowd to get out of the area.

Caenya smiled brightly. Already, the sky was beginning to light up with stars. "I should try living in the woods," she commented, staring up as they walked along.

"You might like it," Daniel said.
"But none of the stars could compare to you."

Caenya was taken aback. She stopped walking for a moment, but caught up again. Nobody ever gave her compliments; especially comparing her above the stars.
"Thank you," she whispered. "That is so sweet."

Daniel gave Caenya a big grin. Despite what people might say, Daniel didn't flirt to get laid all the time. He did it to make people feel good. Eventually they got to the gate out, and they both were able to step into the woods.

"Woah," Caenya sighed as she looked up. With the wall blocking out the lights from the town, the stars shone ten times brighter. The stars seemed to spin as she stared at them, and her head hurt a bit, but she didn't care. "I haven't seen them like this in forever."

Daniel smiled a bit. He loved seeing that wonder filled look on Caenya.
"Come on, I'll show you the best spot to look at them." Daniel led Caenya into the trees, weaving in and out of them slowly.

Caenya followed after him eagerly. "This is amazing," she gasped when they arrived at a spot. "You are amazing. This is so, so amazing."

Daniel had brought Caenya to a clearing, where the sky was lit up in bursts of blues and purples, the galaxy painted out seeming just for them.
"Why thank you," Daniel purred. "But I'm not near as amazing as you~"

Caenya turned to Daniel, happier than she had been in a long time. "I need this," she said. "I really, really, needed this. To get out in the forest like this… away…"
Caenya took his hands.

Daniel happily took both of Caenya's hands in return.
"Then I'm glad I could be of assistance." In the clearing was also Daniel's camp site. He'd picked a perfect spot.

Caenya grew dizzy all of a sudden. She held a hand to her head.
"Whoa," she said, scrunching up her face. "Sorry… I just… had too much to drink."

Daniel nodded a little.
"Here, just go ahead and sit down. I'll get you some water." Daniel gently led Caenya to a seat he had set up for himself earlier.

"Thanks," she said softly, and sat down. "You've got a nice set-up here. Do you camp often?"

"Yeah," Daniel said. He came out with two cups and a pitcher of water.
"It's a lot cheaper than staying in any inn, and a lot more quiet, too." He poured Caenya a glass, handing it over.

She took the glass from him and sipped the water, feeling immediate relief. "Thanks," she said once more. "Perhaps I'll try camping one day."

"Someone like you would like it," Daniel said. "There's so much more to see if the world than just in city walls." He poured himself a glass a well, taking a sip.

"I've traveled from city to city," Caenya started. "I've seen many things, but they've always been inside the walls of a town. Is there anything else to see in the woods besides the stars?"

"Life," Daniel said simply. "The trees, the animals. None of it kept in cages or cut back by a gardener. The rivers, and valleys, mountains and oceans. There's so much that a city can't capture." Daniel smiled, sitting down on a log of wood.
