Lexi smiled at her excitement and caught up to her and claimed her spot. "I call the white one!"

"Dibs on red!" Hazel called out to anyone who may be listening. "Wow, that was loud, wasn't it? Damn…"

Lexi chuckled before wrapping her arms around her shoulders. "Yeah, but now you have the car you want." She mentioned, watching as the line moved up.

"True, true," She gave a flippant wave of her hand.

It was finally their turn and she rushed to the white car that was somewhere behind the red one Hazel would be riding.

As soon as the ride started, Hazel turned the car around to crash into Lexi's. "Sorry!" She exclaimed, meaning quite the opposite.

"Ok then, I see how it is." She said, loud enough for Hazel to hear it. She backed up enough before charging forward and hitting Hazel's car hard enough for Lexi to jump in her seat. "Take that!" She laughed.

Hazel's head hit the back of the seat. "Screw you!" She laughed, hoping Lexi wouldn't respond like she would.

Lexi giggled at Hazel's mock-anger before going around the track once to speed up her car. Once it was at a speed she liked, she knocked back into Hazel but not as hard as she would like.

Hazel ran the car in reverse, then crashed into Lexi's car speed. "Not bad," She chuckled to herself.

Lexi was mildly shocked with Hazel's car bumping back into hers and felt displaced. Her seat belt was sitting uncomfortably in her lap and another car from some random person hit her. She chased after Hazel and knocked into her side before driving off.

"Sorry," Hazel really did mean it this time. She could tell that Lexi felt off.

"It's fine, just not expecting that." She smiled to assure that she was okay. "But we do have one minute left so…"

"What are you implying?" Hazel asked a bit wearily. She watched Lexi with curiosity.

Lexi smirked before backing up slightly and knocking into Hazel before speeding off.

Hazel chased after Lexi, laughing like a mad man. Then their time was up. "Aw, man," She got out of her car, walking over to her partner.

"That was… a lot of fun! I haven't done anything like that in a while." She exclaimed, taking Hazel's hand and kissing her cheek.

"Me either! I need to get a decent job so we can do that every so often!" Hazel skipped a step, then went back into her usual walking pace.

"Same here, at my current salary rate, I'll only be able to afford these things once a month at most." She said, taking Hazel's hand. "Where to next?"

"I don't know what they even have," Hazel admitted, looking down. "Should we wander, or do you have an idea?"

"We could wander and see what we want and along the way pick up some snacks." She said in a questioning manner, as a suggestion.

"Sounds fantastic!" Hazel jogged a few feet ahead, then stopped, letting Lexi catch up.

Lexi took another map from one of the nearby vendors before opening it up for the both of them to see. "So there are a couple of food courts and those five dollar games we could play."

"Let's go check out the games. We shouldn't play them though, they're all rigged," She took a look at the map. The games were closer to the center of the carnival, food court towards the back.

Lexi took her suggestion and followed the map to the game center. She watched as multitudes of people failed to win and wasted even more of their money on the games. "It's really sad though not being able to win because the vendors just want money."

Hazel nodded pointing at one of the games. "I've watched that kid play 5 rounds to ty and get that dolphin," She lowered her head in mock sadness.

Lexi looked over to the kid who failed yet again and pull out another five to attempt to get the prize. "That kid over there just won." She pointed to the game where you had to squeeze water into the clown's face.

Hazel looked over at the child who was now holding a giant stuffed bear. "He did. That's the only one that's remotely fair, though."

'Do you… wanna try it?" She asked putting her hands behind her arms to imitate a child and putting on her best puppy dog eyes.

"Um, yeah," Hazel ignored Lexi's attempt at puppy dog eyes. She walked over to the person running it and handed them 5 dollars.
